ok, Ive been following the discussion, and I want to say a few things.

1). Alyria, if you paid that random guy with your CC, keep the process going by giving him your SSN, and any other vital info needed to strip you of your financial freedom.

2). I grabbed my crotch a few more times, felt pretty good actually.

3). Drunk girls touching me is cool, just as long they don't throw up.

4). free beer = awesome

5). There are guys who are 21+ round here, I'm one of them. But I will never understand how a guy can fall for words on a screen.

6). I don't have Showtime so I can't watch Dexter. Even if I did, I still wouldn't watch it.

It's a double edged sword really. You either get a first taste of one's personality and charm or their deception. Granted we're dealing with the former and not the latter it certainly makes for a much more sincere way of getting to know someone. Sadly, I'm guilty of said quote. But oh well, that's just me.

Only 2 things I really disagree about or have questions anyways. What if she doesn't puke on you or any of your stuff? And what's so different from words on a screen or over the phone or irl? They mean the same thing. Granted it's nice for those of us who often just say whatever comes to mind to have a chance to edit lol. But yeah really unless your lieing your *** off does what you learn about a person really change when you talk to them thru different mediums?

when talking to someone on the phone, you can at least sense the emotion in their voice. You can't do that with words on a screen, unless you know the person beforehand or you're some sort of e-mindreader.

I agree, but you mustn't ever forget that there's distance involved. And you can't confirm age/gender without the use of a web cam! For all you know, that sexy Mithra kitten you're hitting on is actually a 10 year-old boy! I'm still guilty of online relationships, though. ._.; Those words on a screen are soooo tempting!

Hence the thin line of sincerity and deception. It's a matter of trust, but either way the communication is no less authentic than being on the phone or talking irl. It's all a matter of who you're talking to and your trust in each other.

You can convey emotion with more then just voice and body language. Just the way you say something often says alot. If this weren't possible no one would ever read a novel. Probably why alot of people don't since not everyone picks up on those things.

Distance can be changed easy. Really wouldn't you move for someone you care about? Also techniqually you can cheat via webcam too sure its harder then just words and random pics but doable. Guilty? You make it sound like a bad thing. Unless your just leading them on and plan on never no matter what entertaining the idea of actually seeing each or something don't see whats wrong. This is a digital age nothing wrong with meeting someone online.

Well it's not for everyone. Those who have the will, patience, and dedication to remain steadfast and faithful to make it work get alot of respect from me. More power to them for making something seemingly impossible work out. Unfortunately I'm pretty SOL in either spectrum of relationships. Hence why my best companion for the time being is a nice bottle of JD.
