If you are going for an engineering degree, obtain it, and do not know any sort of CAD it will be terribly difficult to find a job in the field. I would suggest you pick up a class on Pro Engineer, it's the most popular program out there at the moment, and we are making the transition to it at my workplace. Best of luck with the program, and stick with it when it gets tough. :)

I'm not going for engineering degree, I'm going for electrical engineering. Yes I do realize that it's still engineering but it's not the same.
Also as to "a job in the field" I plan to work for myself so I won't really have to worry about that, although I do realize that the lack of cad would hinder this goal and I've considered learning it, but it's not at the top of my list.
