Looks like it's moving away from the horror survival aspect and just made it into a shooter.
Ya. but the only one that ever scared me was 1.. 2 was more of a "thriller" because Mr. X loved busting through walls and just made you jump lol. 3 had some moments...but 1 was the one i was scared the most (probably because i was younger adn it was my first encounter with the game type)

Yes its become another Call of Duty game, I will be playing it as its enjoyable but I wish they would go back to the original style.

If you have PS3 check out the original RE games on the PSN. One, two, three, and Code: Veronica are the "classics."
Even though the first one was on the PS1, no other game scared me the way this one did. Nothing can prepare for you that first moment undead dogs jumped through the window lol. The music was eerie too. The series following were ok but the first one was the scariest and most memorable.
Well I thought that was Ashley, blonde girl sounds like her but I was kinda hoping it wasn't, I had enough of "Leon, help!".
As for it being like Call of Duty, I've had to think about it and if they want to go back to survival horror they'll probably have to introduce new characters as they've already developed Leon and Chris to be well trained at fighting zombies so to have them back in the unexpected a la RE1 + 2 would be a bit strange.
That and I have no guts so survival horror games freak me out.

Or they could just remake RE2. I'm sure nobody cares about the storyline anyway, most are FPS meatheads who spam through cutscenes and the like just so they can get to shooting more ***.

While I agree with this, I do have to say that in RE1 the intro movie makes me laugh every time.
Oh no! We're being chased by mutant dogs! Run, run, run, stop. Look, a gun... oh no a severed hand! Oh yeah! The dogs! Run, run, run, run. No, helicopter pilot person, don't leave us, nooooooooo! (10 second stare at the sky) Oh yeah, the dogs! Run, run, run, run.
And the voice acting in the intro movie was just... lol. Besides that though, I really like the Resident Evil series. The ending in RE1 was my favorite.
That's why it was so good. The acting was horrible (one of the worst) but the fear factor in the game itself makes up.
Its nice to go back to their roots a bit with classic zombies(also seems to have plagas and the african strain too lazy to check the name on it.

I kinda hated Resident Evil 5. Didn't seem to give you alot of time to explore/check things especially in online mode. Just too much urgency.

Horse a dead beating?, or is it just me? Resident Evil was about suspence and fright it was a Survival Horror game now i can't help but feel like theve raped it and made it a shooter, if you wanna shoot zombies CoD: Zombies will satisfy your taste for carnage far more. Id have been far happier if they had made Resi 6 walking about a city with zombies and barely any ammo with ***jumping out at you making you wet your pants but maybe im too old school.

Play at 3am in the morning with no lack of sleep. RE2 really gets u! RE1,2,3 best ones. RE5 i loved the graphics as well as the ability to do xboxlive chat.
The only thing i hated about re5 was occasionally playing on xbox live then u realize ur partner is a kid with the bazooka/flame launcher who just wanted to kill u as sooon as u logged on and started laughing and then dc'd.
It looks like they took what they're doing with Operation Raccoon City and decided to expand the RE timeline.
I enjoyed Resident Evil 4/5 in the same way I enjoyed Silent Hill: Homecoming. They'd have been fine as a stand alone game, but just aren't great enough to carry on the series name.

Capcom needs to remake RE2/3/CV they same way they did RE1 for Gamecube. Crimson Zombie and Lisa walking around <3 it.

hmmm.. that bald guy whos blood they need, notice when he injects something into his neck, his hand is green and kinda scaley kinda like that kid from CV whos name escapes me atm. wonder if theres a link to it.
That does look very, very nice. I cant help but think of Gears of War a little bit when I watched the trailer though...
