Using Job Abilities Causes My PC To "crash"

So I recently installed FFXI on my PC again, (it took a day and a half just to update) half the time I use a job ability it causes the screen to freeze up and the sound makes a glitchy "Bzzzzzzzt" noise. Obviously a Computer crash... Sigh. I'm 90% certain that its only the job abilities that cause FFXI to make my computer crash.

Here are my basic computer specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate

Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.80ghz

All the hardware on this PC are new and my drivers are up to date.

Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't sound like a Pol issue, more like a windower issue; if you're using that. Otherwise may need to update your drivers; specifically your graphics card drivers. Btw, I use the same Dos and graphics card and (knocks on wood here) have never had such issues.

I haven't even gotten around to using widower yet. I'm just using "vanilla FFXI" right now.

Ill double check to see if any of my drivers are not up to date...

sometimes when im spamming JA's or alt tabbing or whatnot it causes battle related action sounds to stop working

also check ya .dat files, if ya got a corruptedud file it can case it to crash <tho if you dont have a pole has stopped working error it may be your pc itself>
