I played the demo for FFXIII-2 earlier today. Same crappy battle system but now with stupid QTE's. Horrible music. Bad voice acting. I'm never buying this abomination of a game.

I remember reading some interview where they said that it took so long to develop the battle system and monster for FF13 that making a sequel or DLC makes sense since they have so much invested.
This should have really been DLC. Don't feel like paying 60 dollars for this, especially when I hate the battle system so much.
FF 12 and 13 really seem to be hit or miss with a lot of people. You either hate them or you love them.
FF 12 and 13 for me are great FF in my book though 12 had to grow on me a bit i found 13 story driven plot awesome i didn't mind the linearity one bit and 13-2 fixes that with it's multiple endings time travel thing a la chrono trigger, imo i know i'll like the game but like it was said it will be a hit or miss for many.
lol btw i'm happy they brought back desperate struggle from FFXIII (song that plays when you fight cieth stone mission monsters) in XIII-2 heard it when i fought a cieth i ran into randomly in the demo.
Just tried the demo myself. I still don't think I'll be picking the game up, but it's definitely a lot more open and customize-able than the original. People who liked XIII will probably like this one even more, but it's not going to change your mind if you absolutely hated it.
Also it seems like they removed the horrible English talk-rapping from the music for the localization.

just got done playing the demo, probably not going to be the best rpg of 2012. but it was actually pretty fun for what i was expecting.

There is a demo available and it seems pretty amazing. The soundtrack is the best I have heard in a FF game so far, and very action-packed. Less linear, and this is just from the demo. Way excited to get it at the end of the month.

Just finished playing the demo am very surprised how good it is. It's everything 13 should have been. I can't wait to buy it when it comes out.

I preordered from Amazon cause it comes with the Omega fight. Plus you can have Omega as a pet how awesome is that.

I doubt I'll be pre-ordering it.. I'll only be getting it once tax refund is in.. I definitely plan to get it.. I liked XIII despite everyone who hated it.. Was a decent story as far as games go (I'm not a FF fan, I've only played a few titles) but I really liked the game play..

The official FFXIII-2 website was suggesting 3 online shops to preorder the Crystal Edition in my country.
Picked one of those in mid december to pre-order my PS3 crystal edition copy.
I even phoned them to make sure they would have really got enough copies.
Then yesterday I receive an email saying they won't be receiving Crystal Edition copies at all.
Groaaaargh! Rageeeee!
Now I'll have to resort to eBay and its HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE prices sigh
