Some of the time girls who play games don't have very good personality, you just have that in common, which in itself isn't a whole lot to base a relationship on. Unless all you do 24/7 is vidya game.

This, although common interests are a rather integral part to most healthy relationships. You'll meet girls with shitty personalities everywhere, but there's plenty, going to the video game example, that have splendid personalities. Can use this board as an example, a majority of the female posters here are likely into video games and for the most part have workable to perfect personalities.

Looking at it like it's complicated is where most of your problems probably come from. Just let loose and don't look so much into it, get involved with something and see where it goes. You'll know naturally if it doesn't click eventually.

I'ma sound like a *** on this one, but...
A broken heart really is the most painful injury you'll ever sustain in your life. You've gotta muster the courage to face that pain though. The reward is well worth the price, having someone there for/with you is the best feeling in the world.
Hito's suggestion isn't too bad, encountering it for the first time is probably healthy for you. The second you find someone who pulls you out of that pit is the second you realize how much the pain is worth it.

I'm actually not in a huge rush to find someone, and I rarely get lonely. The solitude is nice for the majority of the time. But when I have free time my mind tends to wander off and contemplate the scenarios of what a girlfriend could offer as far as affection, cuddling, hanging out. Then I add in all the drama.stressful roles that come with being a boyfriend and they kinda cancel out evenly with all the good that a girlfriend would be.
TL;DR
I basically think of every angle/scenario both good and bad of what having a girlfriend would bring.

No pain no gain my man. It really is worth the negatives, those positives will always be better in the end if it's someone that you care for and that cares for you.

Yeah basically.
I tend to do that with all aspects of my life to try and rationalize/organize everything.
So throwing a girl into the equation makes everything catch fire and melt.
