Dunno it's not like you made say an Ukon and Ukkos Fury gets obliterated by a merited weaponskill for example. La Thiene Empys aren't too bad in terms of time spent. Unless you spent gil on 1500 plates I wouldn't regret it to be honest.
Fudos damage kinda blows on high defense stuff. it's good you have an option that isn't tachi kasha/gekko to fall back on. (In the same boat with torcleaver/spinning slash) My Masamune is only Lv85 though, 'cause I lack motivation. :x
I did however begin a Ukonvasara. I haven't seen anything detailed about the new Great Axe WS yet. I agree about Fudo damage btw, I've easily done 4,000 damage with Fudo to Salvage/Nyzul etc. mobs, but in Voidwatch T3+ I have yet to even break 2,000. That's fully buffed with Red Curry Bun and this set: It seems decent but to be honest I only see myself using it with Mighty Strikes up. (I like using Gsword with mightystrikes though lol for shits and giggles you know?)

Mythic gkt is now best and its going to be close between masa and amano from the limited info we have so far masa isnt beating amano by far or even if at all. I haven't really read into the Kogarasumaru myself, but what puts it at the top?

Some are yes, but Kogara is now beastly lol. I saw a 95 Kogarasumaru user last night, doin Qilin. I was thinking to myself, "Oh man..that guy is one lucky *** now". As much as I like Rana, its fairly weak compared to Fudo and even Gekko/Kasha.

EDIT: In a Perusal of the JP wiki I've found out the descriptions for the new Sword and Katana WS TP mods have only ever been used before for Iron Tempest and Sturmwind in the JP version. It's exactly what it says on the tin: your attack is modded instead of your F.T.P. In the English version of the game, this distinction is not made and it simply says "Damage varies with TP" for those two weapon skills. It seems that they're taking into consideration that PLD and NIN may have hard times against enemies with high defense and thus made TP mod attack this time instead of F.T.P. This is the part I'm most curious about. I'm assuming that gets stronger the fewer bullets you have left. It's a miss-translation. (ish) It's supposed to say, "ammunition permitting". The same description on Jishnu's Radiance. If you want to test unlimited shot/1ammo, then test it with that. (I don't see why it wouldn't work, except that you would obviously only hit 1 of the 2 hits.) Also to note, the TP effect on the staff WS is duration, not chance of effect. Did I meantion I like this animation?? Penta thrust was great for low defense/ high attack situations. Like you know Tomoe in certain Einherjar chambers. Now Samurai really doesn't have to switch weapons or use Fudo for those said situations. Multihit WS spam is what I meant I guess. Rana should be on par with penta now but without the skill difference. |
