I've always wondered why people are so turned off to RP, or just that when they hear "RP" they immediately think Cybering... Anyway, good luck with your search! I know a couple on Asura that wouldn't mind this, but that's Asura, not Phoenix. >.<
why not yagudo parents? : o
yagudo are cool ! if your char have 20years+ would have been a kid during the big war, so you can explain during any move of mithra or attack on windy, some sentimental yagudo who can't have any kid with madame yagudo, seen your shining mithra eyes and decided to take you : o
or two daddy galka, would be even more cool story : o
my regret in this game is to dont have tried rp with some group at least a bit, couldn't do rp all the time i guess, though created some stories to my char, it's fun enough i guess : o (though my char dont have two daddy galka, nor yagudo mommy)

There's nothing wrong with RPing, but no one really does it in XI, so it's a little... weird. I love RPing and I used to be a part of an RP forum a while back, haven't joined another one because it takes a lot of time.
If you want to RP on an MMO, WoW's the way to go (or was), and I believe Rift has RP servers, but quite frankly XI doesn't exactly have a strong roleplaying community, and those who do "roleplay" are just... really... bizarre. Like apparently someone chased Nightfyre around saying, "DADDY I FOUND YOU" or something. >____>; Don't get me wrong, when I'm in a chocobo costume I RP being a chocobo most of the time, but I think that's a bit different, I dunno. :x
Unless you have a group to RP with, finding "parents" to RP with idk.

Yeaaah, that's pretty much the reason why I won't RP on a videogame. :/ Forums are much, much better. People are forced to have good replies. D:<

Yeah, it's basically an all or nothing thing really. If the entire server (or a large majority) RP'd, I'd totally do it. But as it stands it's just ... kinda weird.. to RP on XI. Besides, most people I don't even want to have a normal conversation with, much less an RP session. >_>;

every once in a while i hop on chatango when i'm super bored. its pretty much rp or cyber or both. and when someone approaches me asking to rp...i'm like yeaaaahhhhhhh no thanks. especially when it gets into the really lame fantasy stuff. like "oh, btw, i can shoot lasers from my eyes"

I used to get a little sad when I saw that kid. Then I did the storyline, on my way to atma of the savior, and man.... that family makes me wanna cry lol.
