COD: MW3
Asura.Sandolphon said: » Siren.Clinpachi said: » Before it comes to that though... if your an avid gamer or TRUE gamer.. just freaking get both and play what you want. To me, this is where call of duty will automatically fail until it reverts back to the ways of Call of Duty 4.... Dedicated Servers. "But Clinpachi oh goodness there will be dedicated servers in MW3", automatically wrong for several reasons. 1) Modern Warfare 3 will feature dedicated servers for UNRANKED matches only. If you want to level up, unlock or prestige, you will have to play on the matchmaking side of things only. Server admins will have the power to disallow or allow items on a server which seems nice on paper but every server you join will have different rules or red tape to cut through when just looking to play.... this really defeats the purpose. But hey i guess some people might like finding one good awesome server who allows them to use anything they want right out of the box, having the option to say "Screw leveling up, i play on xyz server which allows stuff anyways". They also expanded yet again on killstreak rewards............. ![]() Tactical Nuke guys... it's ok it's tactical. So anotherwords hey screw teamwork lets just try to be a solo hero and have the most kills at the end of every round. I mean look at the freaking Mountain Dew gamer fuel BS.... you get more XP by entering codes through mountain dew... so not only are they promoting another product they are creating a dependency on soda to get you faster exp...... ![]() ![]() Do you people seriously plan on giving into this pure amount of ***? Where is the line anymore? Not to even mention different play styles with vehicle variety... which actually are huge in difference... it's not just GENERIC half *** simulation in the jets or helicopters for example... you actually feel like your playing ace combat in a jet... its an entirely different way to play all together. I'll probably succumb to getting MW3 and play with a friend or two, but i will NEVER sit there and buy 245325329 cases of mountain dew just to get 45 minutes of extra freaking EXP..... And i'll be damned if you'll ever see me prestige... Hell i might be one of those people who take advantage of a dedicated server with all unlocks just so i can play casual and not care... (Because that sounds fair right?) The tropical thunder flavor or w/e it is called was actually pretty good, it reminded me of the late 90's early 00's versions of dew before they came out with the white and blue flavors (also like the 4th version of code red, which is now possibly still code red). I don't play MW, but I give the caps away to people who do (3 in all I don't drink a lot of soda, but do love trying new flavors or old flavors when they come out). I mean just get over it, its called marketing, they are going to sell the product until its milked dry, CoD has a huge name and it will sell anything it can to help its makers/designers put more $$ in their pockets. If you want to *** about video game marketing try that new spyro game that you have to pay $20 per figurine to unlock characters in the game (*** FIGURINES). It's a damn kids game, what *** is going to charge kids (or their parents) to buy the game($50 alone or buy the game in a kit for an extra $20-30 comes with 2-3 basic characters) and buy extra characters to play inside of the game (which we all know kids won't be satisfied with whatever characters are already on the game, they want that one special character that you just can't seem to find). It's been going on for years in the making now and people are finally dumb or smart enough to take advantage of hardcore players who inevitably ruin games for your average players. Look at Wow, how many expansions? Look at Fallout 3, how many expansions? Look at FFXI, how many expansions? Look at any "free online game," anything that has made it past 10 years has a "pay to play" option that gives characters and people crazy amounts of virtual ***to throw down on regular players. Is it unfair? Depends on your point of view. I'm with you I don't like it. But there's really no use complaining about it. The only way to beat them is to join them. Or make your own games that are as good or better than theirs. Which brings me to my other final point (Thank God for Hackers and Exploiters) No. That's beyond marketing. There's a line and its been crossed.
What's next? This cheeseburger I bought from Mcdonalds unlocks Blue Mage! Sweet! 90 Terpsichore in this bag of Funyuns! thats a nice screenshot from mw2...but the tactical nuke has been removed for mw3...old news.
COD: Repeated game series since Call of Duty 4.
I personally enjoyed all the series of CoD. IMO, I don't play core games much in MW2 or Black Ops unless my clan all wants to band together, then we get into some ground war action. I'm Hardcore TDM or S&D all the way. No kill cams is the way to go!
Plus they type of people you play with will also affect your view on the games. Personally I love them because my clan is very big on team work and calling things out. We do not do any ***talking at all, definitely no noob tubing. We have zero tolerance for any of that. And there is always someone to play with online considering we are 300+ strong with 4 squads. We have clan tourneys, each squad has chances to win 1600 microsoft points. In October alone I think 7400 microsoft points were given away just in my squad alone. And we are ALWAYS looking for good people to play with. Skill is not a factor, respect and team work is. Yesterday I went to gamestop and canceled my preorder for MW3.
I then took the full payment I had down on the preorder and put it towards a PC copy of Battlefield 3. People were shocked Carbuncle.Lolserj said: » Yesterday I went to gamestop and canceled my preorder for MW3. Been playing all night (Australia FTW). So far my impressions of MP are that of a high calibre ^^ everything seems much more balanced, Kill confirmed is GREAT FUN, Strike Packages are set out great and caters to everyones different playstyles, graphics are crisp and smooth on the 360, nice solid 60fps as far as i can tell, cant wait to get back into, but for now, i need sleep lol ><

No offence but everytime it's been that they show up lol. I used to like COD but got tired of it quick. Bahamut.Novadragon said: » Valefor.Booster said: » Been playing all night (Australia FTW). Im kinda waiting on the new xbox system for another fallout, MW, and battlefield. Im not sure if I lag due to my old lcd hdtv. I want a new tv so bad but not sure what to get.It be prob next year before I can get 1. BTW I think the new GTA 5 will be sweet.
On a side note anyone know how to apply a gamertag to the dewxo.com site. It wont let me. You sound terrible at it.
Quote: Your making alot if sense. Cod was at its best with cod 4,after that it got tedious. I take it you didn't play Call of Duty: United Offensive? because that was the REAL peak of their COD series..... if you played COD:UO you would know that ;) So... Let me get this straight~
If you want to level up~ and stuff You HAVE to do matchmaking? and If you want to goof around and stuff~ thats what unranked servers are for? So~ what you're saying is the servers are for unranked matches only??? mother of god... the lobby trolling begins You could always enjoy the Epic 4hour campaign, complete with it's awkward pacing, rigid and predictable scripted sequences, and set pieces plucked right out of a Michael Bay film.
the black ops campaign wasn't bad
volkom said: » the black ops campaign wasn't bad Yeah, it was downright terrible. Meh I don't play public matches for teamwork. When I'm doing gamebattles then I'm all about the team work. I play to shoot people, stab people, kill people, and any other thing I don't have to sign my life away just to be able to do legally. Now the one game type I make an exception for is capture the flag. I LOVEEEEEE to play capture the flag so much I just don't worry about K/D.
