COD: MW3

One thing for sure is a pain in the arse.. if the servers are having any kind of issues you cant even play solo Spec Ops or Survival...

Definitely lag-related, exaggeration or you're missing shots you don't think you're missing due to recoil.

What happens in CoD (and I prefer it when it doesn't but it's how it's always worked) is that all gun damage you inflict after your death gets 0'd out (hence why you don't get double kills).

So although it looks like you've shot the guy a lot, due to slight latency differences, you've actually inflicted a non-lethal amount of damage and you've died before you finished him.

Only reason I don't get mad is because every single online game is this way. Even with perfect connection, there will still be a very, very slight amount of lag. It's more noticeable in fighting games but it's definitely there.

Now if that happens in on like split-screen, then that's an issue on the game.

In BO it was very noticeably the hosts. You could to Combat Training and quickscope a group of Hardened or Veteran AIs with ease. You'd move into a lobby, and keep getting screwed out of kills where you noticably had cross-hairs on the person. I can understand that. What I can't understand is me getting hits and the person not going down.

Your explanation does not take into account that they way I play, I'm almost always flanking players, so I always have the drop on people. They shouldn't even get a shot in. I know the instant I'm hit when flanked I drop, why doesn't the server return the favour for me?

The graphic are worst in this game compared to mw2... or is it just me

I don't know - something doesn't add up. Either the game hates you individually and nobody else, or you have lag on your connection, or you simply miss sometimes and they see the dot and turn on you (or hear you). Hell, sometimes I turn around every now and again just to make sure I have nobody following me.

I just think it's crappy hosts. When stuff like that happens I check the lobby and there's one tard with a 2. yellow or 1. red connection. Either that or the one game I was unloading entire clips before seeing a hit marker. Checked the lobby, we were all 1. red connections. 30sec later, boom, back to menu.

It's what happens when people have a zero ping advantage with a latency of 100-150+ This was never an issue with COD4... Black Ops and MW2 all day long... can only assume its the same deal with MW3.

I really think its HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE you can't level up on dedicated servers... and can only do it via matchmaking...

I haven't experienced this problem, so I wouldn't go assuming it just yet.

I got this game yesterday, and I got to say that online matchmaking feels more... faster paced? running and stuff also felt faster compared to previous CoD games...
and also tended to die twice as fast :/

The running etc is slower unless you're using an SMG or Pistol O_o

bought this game yesterday. first game i played was hardcore S&D.
went in at lv. 1, came out Lv. 9.
and got a triple kill with smaw on resistance :D

Takes a good two minutes to gather a lobby...

did 3 matches to get a feel of the game, matchmaking actually went faster and smoother, less than a minute ?

CoD fans do the same exact thing. The official BF3 forums are filled with CoD-tards who do the same thing there (only about BF3) that you accuse all BF3 players here of doing. To even insinuate that there isn't just as many fanboy tards on CoD's side as there are on BF3's is absurd.

Good god, if it's a step down from Black Ops then I feel VERY very sorry for anybody stupid enough to buy this at release price.

Majority of people I've spoken to consider it the best in the series MP-wise.

I've not played it yet but if Second Chance isn't in it then it's a step up in my book lol, that perk pisses me off no end.

Unfortunately there's still Final Stand in the form of a Deathstreak but ... yeah. Not a big deal since just a Deathstreak.

I don't care enough to go look, but I'm fairly certain they do, it's not like the line is drawn at review bombing and CoD is a bunch of fanboys with standards and BF3 is a bunch of fanboys that have no limits or souls.

Even so, who cares about review bombing? Why is that any worse than constantly spamming "This game sucks I want my money back MW2 was a ***ton better than this and MW3 is going to be even better only losers would play BF3!!11!11one11" in it's official forums? It's not like those forums are home to many games, it's for BF3 only, they hate the game so much yet feel the need to spew their idiotic crap all over the official forums.

Fanboys are fanboys, BF3 or CoD, doesn't really matter. Stop trying to act as if CoD fanboys are somehow more respectable or 'better' in some way.

Do CoD fanboys have this air of superiority because they play CoD? BF3 fanboys seem to think they're god's gift. And the reason it's bad is because the game gets a negative standing with the media and less people will end up playing it.

One of my first sniper games where I actually did well. After getting accustomed to actually be able to turn at a reasonable pace.

As for less people playing it, who really cares? CoD has no problem moving copies. It's not as if some bad reviews are going to keep you from being able to find matches.

BF3 is great. I was playing last night, & started missing "Sabotage" game mode from CoD. they have sabotage in MW3?

I think both these games have thier place, & are inherently different games. I think this has been said already, but maybe needs repeating. we shouldn't worry so much about what dumbasses are doing, they outnumber us by at least 10:1, we can't fix stupid.

Absolutely. Despite being mediocre in terms of quality, the people behind the marketing and PR deserve huge praise for making the game the success it is today. There is no question over the CoD domination of the FPS genre right now, the game does not even need to be any good because it sells by its name.
