Name Change

Anyone know how I could manage to change my characters name? Somehow a LS mate changed his, somehow.

Delete character, have a friend make a mule with your previous character, recover deleted character, and the GM will make you change the name. Run on sentence ftw.

or have lots of people saying your name is bad and the gm might change it.

Only problem if you deleted, you might not be able to recover it. SE is very picky recovering characters. :| I could never get mine back.

Hmmm. That doesn't sound fun. Probably just some oddity, but idk bout running a chance. Guess I'm stuck rockin this ridiculous name forever. It's always bugged the crap outta me. Stupid roommate.

Another way is if you change servers, have someone create a mule with the name of your character, and then transfer back. You'll be told the name is taken so you'll have to make a new one.

But then it's possible not to get transferred back correct? sounds like i'm just screwed. Luckyslick it is. Half of the name would be nice, either way. Guess all hope is lost for changing race too.

No, you can transfer back to your server after 90 RL days, you will be prompted with a name change upon your arrival.
I know it's time and money but it beats deleting your character and risk possibly never getting it back. xP

3months is a loooooong time...

Call a gm, they will change it for you, if you *** and dont take no for an answer

Ive heard a rumor that if you change to a server where you need to change you name its also possible to change your characters face, anyone know if this is true or not

No. Character model can't be changed at all, even by a GM. Size, Face 1-8, hair A or B. You is tarped.

Name change is easy tho. Proven already with the server change, etc..
Wonder why they do not fully implement it.

On the other side, keeping the same char name makes the Special Task Force and [GM] job easier.

People would probably abuse it to get away with something heinous and ditch repercussions and retaliation from victims through a name change.

Same reason why there's a 3 month wait after jumping to another server. Unfortunately, this is currently the only way of changing your name. You might be able to server hop to a place where your current name is taken and get the one you want, then hop back after lying to a GM that you were transferred there in error. Risky but semi-plausible.
