Alright then, every time you buy a coffee for $4.75 from now on, you won't get any change. The extra 25 cents is a coffee processing fee. Why pay more for no reason? That's the problem.
It's people like you that are the reason these companies get away with pulling this stuff to begin with.

Everytime i try and buy Crysta I get to the point where Ultimapay asks for my creditcard and then tell's me the transaction was not completed.
Tried 3 cc and 2 Debit cards now and notta.. Never had a paypal acct to go that route either.
C&B works... but i want away from them.. before they get around to messing me about! Bail before pushed...

Use paypal. Keep money in the paypal account. Use that to pay for it through ultimatebuy
Bart, that is exactly what I was trying to elaborate on. Is $.25 really, really going to break you or the bank, when it comes to pay a for a mmporg?, on top of the reg fee to play?

It's actually just the realistic outlook here. Sure you can apply 25 cents to "every scenario", but as it stands and what it's for it's still just 25 cents. Not a big deal etc.
Consumer rights or not, you won't be changing it. So move on or move out.

If 25 cents for xi is breaking your bank, you might want to rethink your financial priorities.
Who has implied it was breaking the bank? It's the fact that they are taking money for nothing. It could be 25 cents or $15. A company taking extra money for nothing IS a big deal, no matter which way you slice it. And the attitude of "Oh well, it's only 25 cents" is the reason they continue to do it.

Paypal doesn't require a fee for small transactions. Stop talking about something you don't understand. I heard a janitors pay cheque isn't great either, so think about the poor janitors of the world.

What facts? It's 25 cents that they are taking for no reason. If you use Paypal to spend the same amount on crysta you get no fees for the same results.
You are obviously bad with finances if you are willing to throw away money freely, and don't even care where or why.
But I guess you don't have to worry about it because you don't have a bank/card.

TL;DR its not a problem for me atm...but sooner or later it will become a problem and i dont want to lose 8+ years of work for bieng nickle and dimed by a shady company they JUST picked up.

To amend my first post. I no longer blame Click and Buy. They do suck, but things were settled with Click and Buy in a few minutes. The problem here is entirely the fault of SE's terrible customer service. There's no reason that this should have taken 3 weeks. Not to mention the only penalty should have been to block FFXI access, and not access to my entire SE account.

I use the reaccuring debit system... not sure if it is click and buy, but i have never had a problem... they send me an email a couple days prior and the day of debit.... used it since august too
I've stopped using clickandbuy as of this month, not because of any fraud charges or fees, but because when i logged in this morning it had cancelled all the content IDs for 3 accounts that i pay for. (mine and my family's accounts). I went onto the SE site to reactivate IDs, and attempted to reset the payment info for clickandbuy, thinking that maybe there was a check-box for automatic payments that i may have missed.. but it gave me an error message and said unable to process. I'm not entirely sure why it did this, since it took my payments just fine last month, but it wasted like a whole 10 minutes of my time so i figured might as well pay with crysta if i'm gonna have these issues every month.
