Yeah they did, was pretty much "We dont want people to be able to steal something worthwhile and not have to actually fight/kill the mob"

But yeah, I agree, I dont know why they cant at least put divine and healing on the own timers.

... wow.

I don't know. Their reason for refusing to separate the Waltz timers is almost at the THF notes' "We can't put items that are worthwhile to steal on monsters, because then people would steal them" level.
Couldnt you do that in the old ff's?using steal until you get all armors? I don't get why they wont do that with ffxi =/
Maybe it would be unfair to those that don't come thf but they always could program it so it goes in treasure pool or something

Thing is, with the update to Climatic Flourish and having Rudra's storm and being able to easilly make darkness, DNC isnt as bad of a DD as people make it out to be. On top of that, they can actually take care of themselves.

Any time I see a NIN/DNC in abyssea, makes me want to shoot my self. If I had a choice between NIN/DNC or actually just bringing a DNC, id much rather bring the DNC.

Only thing id really like to see, is move Healing Waltz and Divine Waltz into its own thing.

It's depressing that you need to have an empyrean before you can even be useful on DNC inside Abyssea. :(

As I said, yes they can take care of themselves, which is why they're good at soloing and low-manning outside Abyssea. When it comes to efficiency inside Abyssea, you're gonna want a.) a NIN b.) a WHM c.) a BLM/BRD (and d.) a BLU if you really want to). If you need to proc red, you want a WAR too. Fighting something a bit harder? Add some more WAR/MNK/BLM/WHM.

Don't get me wrong, DNC can do some pretty nice things and when messing around with friends, it's fun to play on DNC, but considering Abyssea's cookie-cutter requirements for most activities, it's not gonna be at the top of anyone's list.

Also:-

"An ad hominem (Latin: "to the man"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to link the truth of a claim to a negative characteristic or belief of the person advocating it."

ITT Someone who insults others (warrented or not) = argument invalid!

In this case I believe it was used correctly. Plus the claim that I'm a White Knight and "I'd guess you're a weeaboo male, making my assumption that you are a white knight pretty much a sure thing." is an ad hominem in itself.

Also ITT: If you don't hate someone we hate, you're a White Knight.

Again, all six of your posts have been defending her. My assumption is a fair one. If you want to believe 'white knight' has the negative connotations to be an Ad Hominem, it sounds like you're feeling slightly guilty over the matter.

If you were a common poster and came in defending her then I wouldn't have seen you as a white knight at all, but seeing as you came in with your first post defending her it's a solid assumption.

But keep believing otherwise brotato.

That's pretty awesome. Anyone have a link for this? I would love to see how they actually put it.

Since they won't separate the timers for healing waltz, they should atleast give dnc some resist paralyze traits (if they decide to give them anything at all which im fine w/o an update). We are just like cor in the sense that we are heavily dependent on our JAs (not including subjobs). On dnc paralyze is the only debuff I fear... :<
Then again I'm never on dnc anymore

Although I believe they buffed them quite a bit recently? I just know when I was fighting Bukhis, when Night was on NIN he (basically) never got bound.

There's just something more stressful about paralyze. I guess with amnesia, you don't even anticipate trying to do anything, whereas with paralyze, there's that adrenaline rush OMG IS IT GOING TO GO OFF?

Try having it fail 4 times in a row only to get down to 150 hp and finnaly get it off. Talk about adrenaline.
