I was a huge Dragon Ball fan. I was going to see the movie no matter what I heard of it. It sucked. Seemed like a cheap B rated movie. Effects were ok but the movie itself was crap.

I havent watched this movie yet myself but i mean right off the bat you know it wasnt gonna follow the series and that it was gonna be about Dragonball not Dragonball Z hence the "Evolution".
I saw this movie roughly a month ago in China (it was released earlier) I was a big DBZ fan. But I got out of the movie what I expected, a B rated movie with poor acting. The story line on it developed too fast, there was a lot of stupid back story then boom action for 2 minutes and its over. Praying the decide to make a second with someone playing Vegeta and decide to go a different route and UN-PG it...
Hehehe. Yeah, I'd love to see a Saiyan saga movie with Vegeta. And of course Raditz and Nappa as well.

I think they pretty much mutilated the storyline. . .Goku wasn't in his teens when Grandpa Gohan died. . I think. Also. . .Goku wasn't an emo-go-get-the-girl-and-who-cares-about-moar-power-kind-of-guy. . .When will they have a movie (based on a game/comic/anime) with the same hairstyles? Goku's hair was a disappointment. Also, not 100% sure on this, but I thought Goku was unable to turn into Oozaru without his tail?
From what I saw in the preview they butchered the concept and made Goku into some white boy (who isn't even remotely asian) who beats up rich high school kids after he gets super powers.

I cringed when I first heard this was live action. I've yet to see a live action movie off of any game or anime that has been worthwhile. Fist of the North Star, anyone?
