I'm a semi-lurker I guess? Mostly stick to MSPaint, Music, Pokemon and Ragnarok Server threads. And some dragoon and warrior threads if the topic is interesting enough.
Any popularity I may have once had apparently disappeared when my name changed from the server merges. Even though my current name is the inverse of my previous.
*throws potatoes at Lin* Jump damn you JUMP! *hides*
That was uncalled for!
And you aren't Spence. No hiding for you! D:<
I always wondered why you never just continued to post on your Caitsith.Linear account. :p That would have eliminated a lot of issues with people not recognising you. :p
Haha. There's been a couple of times when I post, it's the last post of the page and someone else's post brings everyone to the next page :<
Heh. Sounds about right.
Just seems like there's always someone bringing more drama to the thread for everyone to get trolled over rather than acknowledging the other posts. Then you got the popularity factor~... Hardly seems worth taking time out to contribute to anything.
Eh popularity factor doesn't apply if we just lurk though. Look at all those people you think to be popular. They post a lot. Every journey begins with a single step yadda yadda. Still I admit most of them are intimidating ^^; Mainly that silly irishman...

Well, let's have a case and point:
If you remember when the Fields of Valor Augments items first came out, and we started a thread to post our results in and try to find some sort of pattern? Yeah, my friend and I tried to be part of that, but always got trumped over by Dasva's nonsense. With his, "ohnoeeez my luck is horrible gaise see? LOOK" then he'd get several pity replies, etc etc.
Pretty much just walked away and said, "never again." Kinda pointless.
So one person gets all the attention from a good thing you did and you quit? Tad silly. Things like that just happen but you will have people who will notice you. Can't judge everything from one incident =/ But meh, I guess you have your reasons. Like I said, I only posted because I recognised Linlin. Back to lurking I go~
why are you under the impression you know how to gear jobs

I'll say it again am i supposed to come SAM and solo tank it while dualboxing the whm?
yes because you're now using a level 75 image to reference quote unquote difficulty at 90 but then again, a 90 taru melee is like a 75 elvaan melee, so i guess it kind of makes sense as to why you're connecting to that image
Solo tank your next tia then on SAM without hiding behind an aegis/ochain. Show me how its done.

Dasva is Dasva. He's not here anymore, so you don't have to worry about that~

Mmmm'I think you kinda missed the point I was making, or maybe I didn't lay it all out in chronological order like I should've...
Either way, what I'm trying to say is that posts by lesser known people will get skipped if and when there's someone that has a reputation and posts solely for the sake of seeking attention.
And that was just one example, mind you. I've been there several times. When you keep trying to contribute to threads thinking, "Well, maybe THIS time someone will read something I have to say," now that's a tad silly...

Edit: Derp'd a few words.
Eh, I read everyone's posts unless it makes my head hurt. I guess the trick is to just try to contribute, once people recognize that you're not stupid they'll start reading the things you say and not ignore you.
OR WE CAN ALL IGNORE YOU NO MATTER WHAT, MUAHAHAHAHAHA~
I don't know, I think I am too used to people who are stubborn and refuse to quit. It can get you down when things like that happen but you can just keep trying or settle with what you got. I won't be one of the noticed posters here but hey, I'm fine with that. Still one day, maybe I will randomly post and it will make someone smile or something silly like that. So sorry if I got your post wrong, don't mind me. ^^
I was meant to be lurking gdammit. Totally blame Linlin for this.

Just seems futile in every aspect, the way I see it - and it's nothing exclusive to FFXIAH, really. I mean, you deal with it on other messageboards, your social life, work, growing up, etc..
The principle is essentially the same. If you're not overly obnoxious, a drama queen, an inconsiderate douchebag (or all of the above fit into one, really.) Then there's just a slim chance of getting recognized at all. May as well just lurk. /shrug

Eh, I think that's a pretty pessimistic view. Sure, it's true, but that's not the only way to get recognized. If you try to help out in threads, or post useful information, or are just generally friendly/pleasant, you'll get noticed after a while.
I see you liking posts, yeah we all see you! So why not post, we're all friendly here!
While you're liking some of our posts, we don't have the same fun opportunity to like yours! So come on and let's post in a thread, maybe we'll make some new friends.
