NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU your not allowed to go to the dark side D:

BRD will still be my main :D

I'm pretty sure BRD is going to get a JA that allows a 3rd(4th with daur) song soon anyway.

Also actual debuffs that hit and ***

And maybe some new songs that will actually be as good as or worth using over march situationally. I do admit I'd like to have to think about which song would be good for a situation rather than spamming marchx2 95% of the time with the occasional carol and very occasional Scherzo.
As much as I love brd (almost as much as sam) makes me sad when only marches and ballads basically make my list of used spells....

The people with half a decade worth the heavily scrutinized mathematical support on their side are dense, and the opposition with no support outside of a cropped screenshot of an unimpressive amount of damage is the voice of clarity and reason?

Oh, alright.

Just give the mages March, they have enough MP!

Outside, I usually do Ballad III + V. March, because 9mp/tic is just wasted when combined with most decent mages' idle sets nowadays and refresh II >_>

Maybe I'm speaking blasphemy, but meh.

Omh.

People are never going to agree whether RR is good for SAM or not based on opinion, so...

someone *** parse it.

Parsing isn't very accurate and doesn't prove anything based on my playstyle.

I do the same. The only time I really use Ballad is when the mages are getting low and it's been a long fight.

So like... maybe once a week.

Outside I'll use it on a WHM if they ask, but normally stick Marches on them for faster spells. (as in overall)

Ballad is very limited in its use now which is sad.

I really want more Mage songs. We need a fast cast/MAB/Elemental potency+ song. It would be yet another tweak that would make BRD more varied.

I parsed my LV45 Sam in Abyssea using RR, and I wasn't impressed with the results. I think we can safely assume that, based on this experiment, RR is a terrible choice for SAM.

Only one side of the table is exercising their opinion, the other is exercising math.

I'd comment on the inarguable inaccuracy of parsing, but that's just too easy.

Wups.

i use it because it's easier to just say "reinfuse previous atma set"

just personal preference therefor it is the correct way and nothing you say or prove can deter that because I'm always right.

It will be innacurate, but the people arguing for RR for SAM argue that it's a huge hit to your overall damage without it. If there's not at least a clear cut indication of which is better, then it really doesn't matter what atmas are used now does it?

basically, i played samurai during all of scars-era, and even the first month of heroes-era just about (shamefully), and i can tell you here and now, the moment i slapped rr on, even without a crit ws, it's easily acknowledged as a staple dd atma, much in the same sense that apocalypse is

so, what are you wearing?

I wanted to join the epeen :\

And also lol@Snake saying a consistent 4-10k, my ***. I have yet to see a sam hit a 10k jinpu on anything worth a damn.

Oh and before anyone jumps at me out of ignorance, I'm not saying 10k on Flameskimmer is "worth a damn". I just wanted to join the fun.

I dont know all Melee jobs characteristic in details but i dont think ANY melee job can drop RR atma really and even without a critical hits WS; it is probably still the best one and since i have a normal mature brain and know to read a thread title i would say RR/VV/Apoc is the best combo most of the time.

PS: The truth is ironclown loves to play WAR so much because the job have less STP amount and so does feed less TP to the monsters as he thought it was working for years etc.(the problem is not even doing mistake but it is acting like u are god and know everything although everyone doing mistake as long as we are humans). Incoming HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE 12 yrs old pics i dont understand because they have none sense simply or irrelevant PvP pic, taru comments etc, {End Key}.

I would honestly drop VV in that case and use A&O, especially for kaiten/fudo. 10% or so more triple attack and like 20 or so extra attack. regain is not always needed and i'd rather 10% TA > 10% DA. Unless I'm looking at this from a bad viewpoint. I don't see the regain and 50 STR as a better selling point than that attack+ and TA+ with A& O

a bit more debatable than that between voracious violet and alpha-omega, since vv also allows masamune users to drop unkai kabuto +2 entirely for zelus tiara, so it's more like 50 str, 5% da 2% haste against 10% ta and 13 atk

mainly, it comes down to if you can take the hit from the -25% hp (which tbh the atma shouldn't even give that anyways since it still pales in comparison to rr, an atma of which has no penalty), though atma of the lion also gives 7% ta and -10% physical damage taken otherwise

lion gives no att boost though, just the same TA as A&O. And ya I see your point with the kabuto and tiara due to regain.. I guess thats a fair point as well. I forgot VV was 5% DA not 10 as well lol
