ok finally i got my second character to work. My visa card i pay my main with wouldnt work at all for him. Same for my family's cards either. Tonight i try my friends card from kuwait and bam, now it works. So try some other cards if you got access to it.

Apparantly there transfuring all PO accounts to SE and they said there may be probmens with Content ID services till begginging og August ='/
Sucks cause i bought the game again today and cant reactivate! D:

i'd say 3 weeks now (well that is my estimate). my guess is we either wait for them to transfer our playonline IDs to our square-enix account or till month. i still don't understand why we have to wait on the JP HQ to resolve the whole billing issue. i may be affected as well, but i'm probably affected the same as you guys.
when they said they were gonna fix the issue in a few days, 3 weeks have elapsed and haven't been announced yet unless we need to get our further answers and see if we can continue with having playonline IDs transferred to our square-enix accounts.

I'm not using someone elses credit card to play a video game, that's insane.
They're not going to announce there's an issue where they aren't allowing new players to play their game, that would be an advertising nightmare. Its better to pretend its not happening until they can fix it.

Curious if the people that had their content IDs cancelled had them reactivated by SE or if they had to do it themselves. I quit over this (wasn't worth the hassle and I was planning on leaving anyway), and already uninstalled the game. I'm curious if I should reinstall POL viewer or not 'cause I don't want them ninja-reactivating my content IDs and billing me, yet again, for months I won't be playing. Anyhoo. If anyone knows if they 'fixed' people's content IDs for them or left that up to them.

They haven't reactivated them...they charged me though. Rather annoying because I can't even do anything with my account at all at the moment. Customer service didn't really help (Solutions were router -> different computer -> connection -> call bank -> contact Visa, lol) either.
I wouldn't worry about them reactivating your IDs, but keep your eye on the billing.

i don't think it's really the bank. they said it's the billing issues and they would fix it in a few days, but i found that as a lie. i don't get what's going on right now, but even if i try to reactivate my ID, i would get the same error including updating the payment. it's been almost 3-4 weeks that they haven't fixed the issue (or problem).
have they said how much we've been charged?

I got an email from them yesterday saying.. "we are very sorry for what has happened but due to the PoL/Se merge you are unlikely to be able to reactivate your account until after this is complete" or words to that effect anyway..

i don't get what they mean by "unlikely to be able to reactivate your account". at least we need more answers on how are we gonna reactivate our content IDs after POL/SE merge because after all that hard work we did in the game, we just don't want them erased and we have to work up all that effort again.

i re-activated mine, but i can't login to playonline. i got this error code: POL-5312 stating that my SE ID, pass or 1-time pass is incorrect. how do i fix this problem?

Did you go to setting and make sure you use the Square Enix ID? It's a little drop-down menu I think (will check this for you in a few and edit).
If you did it right, it will log you in as that, and with your Square Enix password (so not your POL password). I did this wrong the first time also xD
Edit: Yeah, you go to login. Then it asks you for that extra password if you have one (the optional one that you can set in POL). After you enter that, there's a button to the left called Settings. Down below, enter your Square Enix ID. Then go to login and enter your Square Enix password. Don't confuse it with the POL password you had before.

So i was gonna reactivate my friends account too which I took over some while ago.
Forgot my password for it ofc so was gonna reset it with help of SE. This is the answer they gave me:
