Also, I've decided that next lot of spells that are released, I'm going to try and learn them all from NMs. If I can be bothered playing again that is <_<
Took me like 3 hours to learn Wild Carrot. About the same trying to learn Magic Fruit. went 1/1 on MOON CURE though.
Took me nearly 8 hours to Learn Self Destruct, I think i went 1/121 on it. Useless spell too, I was going for Completion factor though.

For me, it was Bad Breath. I killed at -least- 150 Ochus before getting that damn spell...
Firespit for my blumule was horrible, I used all 4 assault tags. I learned it when I was 5mins remaining to get booted, not even 15 hours later SE announces that they are dropping firespit from the proc list. fffuuu

Healing Breeze almost made me give up on blu back in the day. Got Lv15-18 on those damn dhalmels fighting DC-T with frequent rests... And this was before EP/DC got an xp boost.

I learned Wild Oats at lvl 55. My BLU is learning disabled sometimes.

Im with James Blunt on this one, Mori was a bit of a pain at 75 and just took me a while to learn it from them. As for other spells mind blast is a pain not just the speed you may learn the spell but just in general flayers are a pain. Oh yeah I lvled blu shortly after ToAU release not alot of information was gathered at the time and I was trying to learn headbutt off mandies which dont work before realising its quadav only. Reaving wind is a bit of a pain, it seems when you dont want ufo agro you get it and wen you actually wanna find one you never can.
Poison Breath....they just didn't want to use it...and Wild Carrot, I decided I had to solo it for lv 30 so I camped a Goblin's Rarab in Bibiki Bay...it used it plenty of times but I just didn't learn it for days.

It's affected by your Blue Magic skill level, yes. To be able to learn a spell, your skill can be a maximum of 30 points below the cap for the level when you can use said spell.

You'll find a lot of information about all spells there, lowest level to learn them etc etc. Also, get your AF hands! Body might help aswell.
I keyed blu from 42 to 78 myself, but running around learning spells after that quickly got my skill capped. Start with some lower level spells, spam low damage spells on the mob and you will skill up while learning new spells. That's what I did anyway.

I disagree - like I said in my previous post I keyed the job from 42 to 78 and capping blue magic skill after that was neither a problem nor did it take long at all. I'm still missing spells, none of the really good ones or proc spells, and tbh I find spellhunting a nice break from Abyssea.

I soo agree with this.
Skilling blue magic is rather quick, if you just learn a few dd spells to alternate between. Personally I pretty much capped blue magic while leveling from 75 to 90, just using frentic rip, bludgeon and head butt >_>
I just got reaving wind last night to complete my spell list :D I just insisted on coming blu to grellow amhuluk :x
