Pretty much this. There are legit reasons to cheat on someone. An emotionally abusive relationship that you can't get out of is one of them. Yes getting out of the relationship seems like an easy answer to dismiss this reason, but things aren't always that easy.

yea, i prefer to make a judgement on someone im with based on experiences i have with them, not things that have happened in the past. granted if that information is know its not ignored, but im not going to take any action one way or another just because i know of things in her past.
