I understand you can't control who you fall in love with, but if you know you're seeking a partner, why cause yourself the pain of falling for someone you're never going to get? It's not hard to distance yourself from someone you believe you'd like. On top of that, you're causing the person you 'love' a serious amount of stress if they know.

I can't speak for everyone regarding all situations, but sometimes it's nice to feel something for someone after a long time. It's nice, even if the feelings aren't reciprocated.

I dunno, it might be nice for you guys, but quite frankly it's driving me off the wall. I'm already considering not talking to someone unless they're a girl, or a man happily in a relationship/asexual. I'm not sure how I'd implement that, but I'll find a way. If I could re-do FFXI, I would have rolled a male Taru and pretended to be a man and no one would be the wiser.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't like it the other way around. It's flattering when girls like me and all, but I don't like dealing with their advances when I have no interest in them.
I meant that I very rarely meet any girl I click with, it feels nice when I do to remind me that their are cool girls out there. Maybe it's just reassurance that I'm not some emotionless monster, I dunno :o

Yeah the point is feeling something. I haven't been in love in a very long time now and it makes me feel quite empty. Having feelings, even if slapped into a wall, it's still better than nothing(until your reach the typical point where you think "oh I wanna die, love sux QQ" etc.

This is why I think you guys are crazy. More often than not it progresses to this... I've even regretted letting myself get too attached to boyfriends. :x I just don't understand why you'd willingly hurt yourself like that...
