Typicly any time you will be dealing directly with constomers they will have a "no visible tattoos" rule, if it's something small you can probably get away with it but anything major can cause you problems. Get your hands tattooed and your pritty much screwed for any food related job for example because alot of people(customer wise) get grossed out by it, in their ignorence they assume tattoos = dirt >.>

I think that's a bit extreme.
Not often, but I'd rather not risk it until I have the job. Maybe after I get one and pay off the loans I'll look into it again.

After I get a job, maybe I'll look into it. With my degree, the two main jobs I could get and would enjoy would be a technical writer, I guess, or a paralegal, I suppose. Those both take English degrees and are for introverts, which would suit me well. Once I get one and check out what my colleagues are wearing, I'll be better able to determine if I could get away with a sleeve. Maybe! ^^

Had to backread some of this thread, but what I have to say first pertains to this thread ^^... Being a paralegal doesn't require a degree. My brother has been a paralegal for years now, and never went to college for even a day... *shrug*

I think musical inspired tats can be really awesome (and video game/anime ones actually hehe)...My next tat idea is going to be somewhat large, and I know exactly what I want (as in the pose and such). Its going to be Jack Skellington and be on my shin or calf ^^.
No degree for paralegals, really? Nice. Right now I'm looking at pretty much anything I'm qualified for, whether it takes my degree or not. I'm more interested in the technical writing jobs, but the trouble I'm running into is that everyone wants someone with experience. If no one will hire unless the employee has experience, then no newbies will ever get experience. *sob*

I got approval from my big boss for my hair prior to cutting it. Then I got approval again for the blue.
coworker got a cute hobbes tattoo on his forearm. he was like making a heart with his hands but manager said he had to cover it or else he will be fired lol then he just quit :P this was a cvs too xD

Ya no degree at all.. He first worked in the mailroom and then transferred to paralegal. He had no experience whatsoever and no college hours whatsoever. They hired him on, and he's been there now for.....I want to say 7 years or so.
And my Jack tat will be mad expensive, as I know exactly what I want, and its going to be a semi large piece... But when it eventually happens (which it totally will) I'll post pictures for sure :p.
