you obviously arent paying attention. it's already spread. april 1st is just a day that it has "special plans" and nobody knows what those plans are yet.

conficker is old news. It first came out like right after the elections. the obama news largely overshadows it.

It's anticipated to be a basic, but possibly largescale botnet attack. If you keep your PC updated with microsoft updates you shouldn't have to worry. This was actually updated back before the original conficker worm was released.

Conficker is just taking advantage of a largely publicized exploit and banking on lazy people who don't update their stuff.
