Take my word for it, teleports in XIV aren't a shortcut.. That 100 Anima gets used up pretty damn quickly <_<;;; then you're walking everywhere..
Once you're actually in the game, the majority of your walking is between the main city (where you get leves) and the level 20 camps.. The walk between city and 20 camp is about 10-15 minutes.. And that's just for battle leves.. Crafting leves take you all over the place, make you go from one side of a region, to another (about 30 mins, conservative estimate), make you go to camps you'd never go to otherwise, filled with aggro on the way..
<_<
Right now, I'd love some shortcuts in XIV.. (they did cut Anima cost, but really that only made teleportation a managable method of travel, with good planning ahead.. That's assuming you tele to a city, take all the leves and work your way from one side of the region to the other, walking)

I really want to play 14, but my laptop is too old. Also a lot of the ffxiv lingo your saying is like another foreign language to me XD
I'm sure it will get better in time, have you ever seen this? As we all can imagine FFXI wasn't perfect in the beginning.

Fenrir.Enternius said: Region-wide shouts would be vary logical, or at least city-wide shouts. Let people spread out in all of Jeuno instead of just Port.
As it stands, excluding the ports in Port Jeuno, it's just about one of the smallest zones in the game, not including BCNMs (And even some BCNM zones are bigger), and with an average population triple that of Whitegate was pre-Abyssea, something really does need to be done.

For example:
If Ru’Lude Gardens/Upper Jeuno/Lower Jeuno/Port Jeuno were to be grouped together, making a shout in Ru’Lude would be heard in the other areas (Upper Jeuno/Lower Jeuno/Port Jeuno). However, this would ultimately quadruple the server load, so we will definitely need to pay close attention to this.

To Kalilla, I really think if SE makes a Server wide, so that other ppl can contact other ppl of other servers, it will just really lag things. If you really want to talk to a specific person of a server, just move there. No point. I mean, you can already do that here @ FFXIAH, and why would you want to be able to speak to other ppl, which you may have blisted @ FFXIAH???
TBH.. not a good idea, frankly.
Kinda defeating the FFXIAH purpose. Chat here @ FFXIAH, not on game.
Why they have a thing called "Forums"

While the statement itself is true, they also believe that waiting = difficulty. Wait between missions, wait between quests, wait to pop a mob again, wait to turn in an item, wait to get the drop to finally drop, wait for the airship, wait on the airship, wait for cutscenes to go through a door, wait...

A lot of wait times have been reduced or given alternates. IT was much much worse just to get around in XI back in the day.

Would be cooler to save sets for diff jobs but this is a nice consolation prize.

Nice, although it was a provlem I think the timed NMs were a bigger problem for congestion.

Well that's kinda cool as a backup for fell cleaving I guess would be nicer if we could pop these NMs though.

Takes me a minute run in windy. And the AH is right next to the furnaces. It's really very practical.

Just by conquest, and by where the crafting guilds are situated, FFXI has always had "unique" cities/regions that add the inconvenience of having to run halfway across the globe to craft something. That's why Whitegate/Al Zahbi are actually such convenient zones.
I would support the convenience of putting all the relevant NPCs relatively close to one another. It bugs the crap out of me that in San d'Oria, the Signet NPCs are not near the OPW NPC, the AH, Voidwatch and Aht Urhgan NPCs are in Southern Sandy, and now the Abyssea NPCs are in port. I can't tell you how often I forget to buy a warp scroll because of the placement of the Abyssea NPCs.
I also think Abyssea NPCs should be added to Whitegate and Tavnazian Safehold. Both are very nice zones to set your HP in and I'd love an excuse to start hanging around there again.
