Bridesmaid dresses are designed to make people look goofy and unappealing, with maximum amounts of discomfort. :p I feel for Pippa Middleton. :p
Yeah I'd like to have a feel of her too...wait I mean yeah...I feel bad for her too Too much man-card. :p

There's still the Japanese Imperial Family if you want to get into Asian royal families that are still in existence.

fell asleep, so i had a lot of backreading to do~
@Zahrah was the king of sweden there too? i couldve sworn i saw him in one shot.
both Kate's and Pippa's dresses were mcqueen, made by Sarah Burton.
the rumor is that kate had a LOT of say in the design of the dress, hence its simplicity.
she did her own makup too. she had said that when she walked down the isle, she wanted william to recognize the woman he's marrying.
i'd love~ to go to sweden, its so lovely, and swedish is so beautiful.
i can never really make out a swedish english accent though.

ikr! not that it isn't a lovely dress, because it is, but... if you hire McQueen, why get such a traditional gown? D: imagine what the prince himself would have created if he were still alive, bless his memory.
pippa looked smoking hot, if I was flat like the Middleton sisters I would fight tooth and nail to get the original. it looks like a special white version of a dress from McQueen's pre-fall 2009 collection.

I don't know. Searching around now. Found some shots of the people that I was hoping to see...
Spanish RF...
Princess Victoria of Sweden with her husband...
William's cousins. Zara and Autumn Phillips...
Prince Albert of Monaco with his fiancée...
Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands...

Not only did Kate want to have a mix of contemporary versus classic wedding garb, she probably chose McQueen to pay homage because of his lateness, considering he was a native British designer I find it quite appropriate.
She didn't choose the brand to create an outlandish and structurally incoherent dress, she chose it because she knew they would make something perfect for the occasion, which it was.
Taking that into account, her veil is quite beautiful. The fabric is like a misty air that enhances her beauty beneath it.
She went through a grueling workout regime and strict diet to obtain that amazing tiny waist and thinness. Such a vision~

Few accept the principles of Monarchy really. At least in the majority of economically developed countries. Almost all royal families have no power and are mere social figures used as public distractions. Yeah, they're just figureheads really. It's not harming anyone, except when they have expensive weddings. But that only happens once a while. lol
Without being too dramatic on what happens behind closed doors when the some of the most powerfull (sparring you all the diminuitive adjectives i could gladly tag on these living organisms) i'm affraid prince Charles has more "influence" than what the average person knows about.
Don't wanna turn it into long debate cause i gotta go and i guess it's fine/normal not to care about this kind of stuff but even if they were just a mere symbol i still don't think it's right. Symbols represents something and in this case what it represents is wrong.
The royal house has a lot of power in theory, very little in practice, if you know what I mean.

Structurally incoherant? McQueen? It's not nice to troll regarding dead people.
Though, who are we kidding, Catherine probably had as much input on her dress as a medieval bride would have on her choice of husband. It's not her fault.

Look at the expression in that face. He is an upperclass douche, and it's even worse now that he thinks he's "royalty". Pompous git.

would you allow a 20-something commoner to have much input on a dress seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world, a dress that will be iconic of an extremely expensive traditional ceremony by the brits? I didn't think so. :P
PS. I think the princesses look hilariously awesome, they look like a good time! I want to party with them.

I do believe she had a lot of input on her own dress, WITHIN the expected limits. She knows she can't have half of her *** hanging out. I don't believe the royal house is that backwards. And I believe if it wasn't for Kate, the dress would have been quite some meters longer.

I definitely did not mean any harm, nor to "troll" or whatever you think it is. When I said incoherent I merely meant a fluidity that wouldn't be conceived from natural forms.
Sorry if you took offense, but I definitely look up to him as a designer, as I've proven through collections I've made so far. I never said his fashion is bad, and even if I did, everyone has a right to their opinion, doesn't mean they are spitting on that person's grave.
So how many of you watched this mornings proceedings at Buckingham Palace? Personally I still don't quite understand how a wedding has captivated so many people around the world, but I nonetheless found myself watching the highlights with a pleasant smile on my face!
Perhaps it is the perfect ceremony that many of us wish we could experience ourselves with loved ones that captures our hearts? It looked like one of those special occassions that puts the worlds troubles on hold and unites people in happiness.
