Just figured out the plot for FF8..

If you're actually serious, I'll clear a few things up for you.
Laguna and Squall are in no way related what so ever, they dont even meet until near the end of disk 3.
Squall does not have amnesia, Him and all of the other characters but rinoa, are from an orphanage, but dont realise until later on in the game (I don't understand the pissing logic in it either.
Also FF7's plot was ***, so i'll agree with you on that!

Squall, Zell, Quistis, Selphie and Seifer do have Amnesia, they got it from using the GF's. Irvine didn't though. Using GF's is a sacrifice.
The whole 'Squall is dead' theory has about as much weight as the 'Rinoa is ultimecia' theory.

It's strongly implied that Laguna is Squall's father. And yes they have amnesia, allegedly caused by overuse of GFs.

I really wish that the Ultimecia=Rinoa theory was true. Would add depth (and poignancy) to what is otherwise a very flat final villain.
