so whats life like in a post zombiefied wasteland? would survivor communties be like ramshackle towns like megaton? or quaranteed zones of old cities kinda like the strip in fallout vegas?
I'd look for some place with only a couple of ways in or out, so you can post up guard stations.. Actually, a prison would probably be a really good place to set up camp, a smaller prison at least. The real problem would be making sure it's clear before you pile everyone in.
Do daily checks on the fencing to make sure there's no holes or anything.
Also remember that all commerce would go out of the equation. There'd be no trade any more therefore no food. Craftsmen would be highly sought after to craft and teach.
There'd be a lot of cannibalism too I'd assume. (outside of zombies)
10 bucks says the gov't retreats out onto their super aircraft carriers.
id be willing to bet theyd also have a kill all on sight order if they tried to retake the land. damn you enclave!
Blood congealment is one of the positives of them being dead lol.
True, but congealed blood has the consistency of Campbells soup. If the zombie take's a head shot it'll still splatter. But a shot to the knee or shoulder would be much safer.

Older prison, if possible. The ones with big *** walls and not just scare-you-so-you-dont-try razorwire. lol
Well the chain link fencing and razor wire would just be an outer parameter, there's still the extremely secure prison building itself.. I'd find some way to make a warning system that tells you when fences are being pushed on (like bells maybe?) and also electrify the outer most fence, not like "oww that hurts" electrocution.. I mean like extra crispy KFC electro-***-cution..
For a zombie apocalypse I'd want an old diesel truck that sits high off the ground. Fit it with a battering ram up front and I'm good to go. Benefits of the truck is that I can move and be save at the same time, I can carry supplies with me, and I can even make my own fuel for it using vegetable oil.
The only problem is finding usable batteries for when/if mines goes out but I can just scavenge from all the other cars likely to be sitting around.

if u had watched the "new" resident evil movie u know how good zombies can dig lol they went into the prisso easly D:
Prisons would be an issue imo. The locked away dead bodys all over the building would be just a health hazard to clean your fortress as the zombies.
Yeah, but they're one of the most secure buildings you can possibly find... Not a lot of retrofitting or 'security holes' you'd miss. The only people who really ever get out of prison are people who do a ***load of thinking and planning, something I'm sure zombies wouldn't be able to do..
The logistics of cleaning it out are worth it IMO for the level of security it would offer.
I love Alice from Resident Evil (the film) x2 9MM except i'd wear Hard jeans cause once these F er's bite you it's over... x2 cross Machete
x2 katanas last but not least my Haitian head band =P have to show them who the ??????? they messing with lmfao

I have, there's no where you won't be vulnerable, but if they zombies are good enough to get into a prison, you can bet your *** they'll be in a house or some other makeshift base even quicker. I choose prison because they're easily found.. Sure an underground bunker would probably be more secure.. But good luck finding one.
Alright, so im having this argument with this dude on which weapon is better if there would be a zombie apocalypse. I think a crowbar would be best since it doesn't run out of ammo, but he says a rifle would be better. So I'm asking you guys... Which weapon do you think is best? Or better yet, which weapon would you use if there was a zombie hoard coming at you.
