If by Pho you mean Phorcys and by using you mean TPing in them...

This compared to this.

You don't need the Store TP from Phorcys, you do need the extra haste from AF3+2 unless you have Phos+1, and AF3+2 has 5% DA over Phorcys.

No reason to be using Phorcys legs over AF3+2 unless you're doing something stupid like trying to 5-hit (which you shouldn't be doing either).

I can ask the same oposite question.
Why do I keep seeing people use Phorcys legs on WAR. :P

So the af3 would be the ideal?

What should be my main priorities in upgrading first?

Replace Twilight Helm with Mekira-Oto +1 until you finish Ravager's Mask +2, then use that, keeping Mekira-Oto +1 for use on Lightsday/Windsday/Thundersday.

Replace Ghillie Earring +1 with Ravager's Earring for situations where you're not needing the accuracy. Otherwise, stick with Ghillie Earring +1 until you finish Moonshade Earring. Once you get Moonshade Earring finished, use that instead (obviously). Make sure you go with Attack +4/TP Bonus +25 augments. Only reason I bother to mention this is because of the overabundance of career WAR I see running around with other useless augments on it instead, with Accuracy +4/Regain +1 being the most common.

Only use Rancor Collar and Atheling Mantle for TP. An elemental gorget and Rancorous Mantle are the better choice for WS.

Use Ravager's Mufflers +2 until you get Hecatomb Mittens +1 and Phorcys Mitts, then stick with Hecatomb Mittens +1 once you've augmented them with critical hit damage +3~4 for situations where your critical hit rate is high enough, and Phorcys Mitts where it's not.

Stick with Warrior's Cuisses +2 for situations where you're not lacking accuracy. In situations where you are, use Ogier's Breeches instead. If you don't have them already, get them. If you don't already have Hecatomb Subligar +1, get them too. Augmented with critical hit rate +3~4, they're the best option for inside Abyssea.

Only use Windbuffet Belt for situations where your accuracy is just about capped. Otherwise, use an elemental belt instead. I see alot of WAR full timing Windbuffet Belt for WS, regardless of their accuracy, when they shouldn't be. The few spikes in WS that come from using Windbuffet Belt are simply not worth it if you're not able to consistently land both Ukko's hits. The damage consistency of using an elemental belt instead will pull ahead if you're lacking accuracy.

If you want good, solid info on what works for WAR from situation to situation, I strongly recommend checking out Kaerin's item sets. When it comes to WAR, he really knows his ***. I've been parsing and testing each set out in a wide variety of situations (Voidwatch particularly), and have found them to be spot on.

without Windbuffet belt..(kinda pricy atm since i still need 350ish Plates and alot of riftdross for 99 ukon lol) is wanion belt next best WS belt? Or should i be useing Elemental belt, even when not in need for the ACC it offers? Well Wanion adds some acc through DEX aswell, dunno how much Elebelt gives ><

elebelt is like +10 acc iirc and if your using gorget thats another +10 I use both gorget and belt on pretty much anything worthwhile atm.

Wanion does have a use if its putting you in a certain crit range but to ever establish that.. is well nigh on impossible.. well for me any way.

Ele belt and gorget is the way to go, I had winbuffet but ive sold it for 1.8mil to save my inv space... it just isnt worth it on war imo.

I'm pretty sure Windbuffet is better than Elebelt. But It's increase vs elebelt isn't really THAT high(?), so the pricetag worth is up to you '-'. But otherwise, Elebelt all the way. '-'
Edit: Also to add to what Armada said, I'd bring like Ravager's Gorget, or Agasaya's collar, just in case you're in a situation where that DT+10% can flat out kill you in like a second. '-'

Thanks for all the info Armada!!

I paid like 1.2 mil for the windbuffet belt a few months back, it's up to 3 mil now on my server, so i got no qualms selling it lol

I already got like half the stuff farmed for light gorget, just need to look into the belts now I suppose.

Once again, much appreciated Armada.

Edit: Guess it's prolly best to go with a Light Gorget and Light belt? (I'll brew the damn pony later when i get home from work).

How would Accuracy+4/TP Bonus 25 stack up for Moonshade if you consider that parts of legion need some really ramped up accuracy? Would that +4 accuracy likely help you or is the solution still going to be going with Madrigals/Feint or changing to accuracy food and the extra +4 accuracy at that point isn't buying you anything but now you're really needing that +4 acc due to no/fewer minuets.

I'm sure it would help sometimes. The harder part is knowing the percentage of the time when it's actually optimal, since capitalizing on a difference of 4acc is extremely buff-sensitive. I won't be changing my earring anytime soon since it's usually easier to cap accuracy than attack with the buffs that I normally get.

I'd recommend having a damage reduction set instead. Having an OSHI macro goes a long, long way. It's not too hard to throw together a decent reduction set for situations where that 10% damage taken from Rancor Collar is something to scoff at. The DoT gained from using a Rancor Collar is just too huge, and the ease of throwing together a decent damage reduction set just doesn't warrant not using one.

I just recently completed mine, and believe me, it's worth it to have. I reach the 50% PDT cap and have 25% MDT. With capped Shellra V, I'm capped on MDT too. Being able to macro into it on the fly is nice.

As far as Windbuffet Belt for WAR, like I said before, it truly comes down to your accuracy. I recommend hanging onto it for those situations where your accuracy is high enough to use it. It definitely shines the most in Abyssea.

Well, you're not always able to pop off a macro for a Throat-Stab-like TP move in time. I assume that's what he meant.

True, true. In that case, you just pull back beyond 3.4 yalms.

Just messing :)

I think it has been mentioned in the past that depending on mob ie fodder windbuffet gives like a 0.5% increase over elebelt. which of course is fine but on harder content you most likely should sitick with ele gorget and belt.

I was wondering if some one can give me a view on Calmecac Subligar for high level stuff. I know most seem to post ogiers in the leg slot. I do have ogiers but was wondering if the 2% crit hit rate on Calmecac along with the decent acc and 7str made them a viable option or if they were just flat out inferior to ogiers.

Any help is appreciated as always.

They're useless.

Relic +2 if you need neither ATT nor ACC.

Avant +1 if you need ATT, but not ACC.

Ogier's if you need ACC.

^This all the way, with Hecatomb Subligar +1 augmented with at least Crit +3~4 for inside Abyssea.

Heca +1 aren't that low on the chart (I believe they are closer, if not slightly superior to avant+1 on that list) and are much less useful in Abyssea where you have uber crit rate from buffs. I'd guess Ogier's to be far more beneficial in Abyssea than them.

With the inflated crit damage, augmented heca +1 are the best in abyssea.
