I think some one mentioned in the thread earlier, that for a 6 hit you only need phorcy head brutal rajas to still maintain a 6 hit if your using rajas and brutal in ws set.

In my tp set I don't use tyrants I use mars + rajas phorcy head brutal but I am using af3 body. I get 17tp return on normal hits with ws being like 15/16 return normally I think. Pretty sure if I took away af3 body id still be maintaining a 6 hit. However if I am wrong some one will confirm :D

I want to say you need 16 Store TP to maintain a 6-hit with just Brutal in your Ukko's set. Granted, that allows you to miss the second hit.

If you have both Rajas and Brutal in your Ukko's set you should be able to get away with only using 15 Store TP in your TP set while still being able to miss that second hit.

If you assume you'll get at least one extra attack all the time (I wouldn't consider it a high enough chance on a 2-hit weaponskill that it can be completely disregarded) then you can drop your TP set down to 13 Store TP if you're weaponskilling in Rajas and Brutal, 14 if you're only weaponskilling in Brutal.

That means, to be safe, you should have at least 15 Store TP in your TP set if you have Rajas and Brutal in your Ukko's set. Can be done in multiple ways... the most common probably being Phorcys Head + Rajas + Brutal + Tyrant's or Phorcys Head + Rajas + Brutal + Armaberk/Adaberk (with at least 4 Store TP).

For Upheaval or Resolution?
For Upheaval I generally use Phorcys Legs... 4% Crit might beat them though...

This is my (restraint down, but sTP is not affected either way) standard TP set.

From what you're saying, it sounds like I'm overshooting sTP? Can I switch out Tyrant's for Mars and keep my 6-hit? I ws in Rajas and Brutal.

No, with that setup you need to keep tyrant's for a 6-hit. Ideally you will want an armadaberk with 4+stp and then you should switch tyrants with mars' ring.

It might have some relevance if you don't have Phorcys and are low on crit rate. On lesser content though even Grim+1 will likely beat it

Assuming you're /SAM, as you should be basically all the time. Hasso helps a ton since WAR can't cap delay.

16 STP = Only need Brutal in Ukko's set. Allows you to miss second hit of Ukko's and keep your 6-hit.

15 STP = Need Rajas and Brutal in Ukko's set. Also allows you to miss second hit of Ukko's.

14 STP = Need Brutal in Ukko's set. Does not allow you to miss second hit of Ukko's and keep your 6-hit.

13 STP = Need Brutal and Rajas in Ukko's set. Does not allow you to miss second hit of Ukko's and keep your 6-hit.

Again, on a two hit weaponskill the chances of you double attacking aren't enough to completely disregard the fact that you may miss your only extra hit. On something like Resolution (5 hits) you're much more likely to get at least 4-5 hits than you are to miss 2-3 of them.

You have 15 Store TP in that set. You'll have to Weaponskill in Brutal and Rajas to keep your 6-hit assuming you don't have some form of regain (then a hit-build's sorta pointless unless you can get off your weaponskill right as you hit 100% tp every time, which you can't). I also wouldn't recommend TPing in Phorcys body unless your accuracy's capped (really just Neo-Nyzul). Otherwise, even an NQ E. Body would do better. Easy enough to pick up an abjuration, just get 3-5 others (depending on mules and ***) and do Einherjar twice a week, Odin once a week.

Thanks for a detailed answer to what I realize in retrospect was a really stupid question. Amardaberk is indeed next on the priority list for me. In the meantime, I use AF3 +2 body for my accuracy tp set.

Actually, on targets where you're capped on accuracy and benefit from everything on this armor, I think it should beat Armada/Phos by 1~2% as a TP body if you also swap Phos Belt for Paewr Belt to pick up 10 attack.

Pretty context-dependent with respect to buffs but I wouldn't call it crap or anything, unless the definition of crap is "something not suitable to be used in Legion," in which case it would be crap.

You're assuming there's 6 STP, 3 DA on Armada when you say that?

And even then... this exists, so you're only gaining 3 Attack, 1 STR, 2% Crit to lose 3 TA.

If accuracy means nothing, that is.

5 STP, but yeah. I just don't like the hyperbole.

For lawls, with capped accuracy but not attack, Mot's spreadsheet has a perfect Valk (ta3/zanshin7/acc10, not that the acc matters here) with Phos as 184.316 DPS and Grand+Paewr as 184.172 (183.137 for Armada/Phos with that buff setup). And people spend like 50mil+ on their augmented Valk.

Well, depending on how hard/random it is to get it could be a viable option until Valk, in those situations at least.

I couldn't find it anywhere (not that I looked very hard), do we even know what it comes from?

edit: I'm gonna take a guess and say total completion of Meebles? If so, won't be happening for a while...

Is there a tp set utilizing valk that completely replaces armadaberk? Or are there still a significant number of situations where armada win? I see several valk owners using berk quite often. I can't afford both till my axe is 99, trying to decide whats going to be the best bang for my buck till then. I'm 5/5 phorcys if that makes a difference.

If you're gonna pick 1 HQ, I'd say Armada for sure.
Armada is better in situations where you want more accuracy (can use that + mars ring, while valk needs tyrant ring and valk have less acc in body-slot aswell, even if you get 10 accuracy augment)

With an agument like Ejiin's, any body would be hard-pressed to beat it out as the superior TP Piece. Armada all the way, though. I'm waiting for the salvage update before spending all the money on one.

Yeah it drops in Meebles.. unsure how exactly obtainable it is, as some bosses are pretty stingy in my experience.

It's also worth repeating that the TA+3 is weaker than it looks when you have high values of double attack. With fighter's roll, it's around 1.431 -> 1.475 hits/round for Valk (3% more) and 1.431 -> 1.459 for Armada (2% more), which is a lot different than when you de-contextualize it, (i.e., 106/100 vs 103/100). You'll also be getting a 1~2 points of crit% (most likely 2 although it could be as much as 11%) on Armada that Valk doesn't.

I've had the chance to buy Valk a couples of times now and passed it up-- I just don't think it's a great piece for WAR TP compared to Armada.

Mathematically if the dex isn't increasing your crit rate and acc isn't needed to cap hitrate, valk should win by a mile. Thankfully it seems there's still plenty of use for armadaberk.

On the topic of Heca Hands +1 is it ok to WS in them with 3% on them? Best I can get so far is 3% Crit Hit DMG and 5 ACC. Or should I just not bother till I get 4%

As I understand it, yeah 3% beats out Phorcys if relatively high on crit rate+. Blood Rage/Warcry and.. 120%TP+? Something along those lines. I'd still gun for 4% but I believe 3% works as well.

EDIT: Could be wrong, as I'm no math wiz for this game. I'm sure someone will point it out if so.

I just got my Phorcys body last night, currently in the process of making my Ukon, after friday will be at least 30/50 on shells. This is equipment I have now, Was wondering what's a good substitute for twilight helm if any? I don't have my AF3+2 hat yet, but it has 3% crit on it and will be working towards moonshade earring here later this week/next week.

The warrior +2 legs are the +2.5 version. I mainly do Abyssea with my Linkshell, NNI, VW and occasionally some other things, I want to start barrows soon and possible neo salvage in the future.

What should be my main priorities in upgrading first?
