So I see a lot of Warrior with Ukko's Fury adding Heafoc Mitts to their WS builds over Ravager's Mufflers +2.
Heafoc Mitts: 13 Str, -4 Dex, -8 Acc
Ravager's Mufflers +2: 9 Str, 9 Dex, 12 Acc (Set bonus)
Now, I recognize the fact that in Abyssea Accuracy shouldn't be an issue for any well geared DD; however, +4 Strength at the cost of 13 Dex and 20 Acc (without factoring in the Dex) seems like an overwhelming loss and that's without even having to mention the set bonus.
I figure whichever option you opt for the overall difference will probably end up being petty. Just wanna know the specific reasons for the decision of other people.
----------------------------------------------------------------
My current WS set:
Waiting on update to purchase Zahak's Mail (and possibly Grim Cuirass) in addition to a new Str Ring and Earring. Waiting on 6 Stones of Vision for R. Mask +2 also.

dDex will be capped in abyssea, so losing out on the dex isn't a big deal for Ukko's. Acc also shouldn't be much of an issue due to RR and curor buffs, along with stalwart's and aggressor if you need it.
Also, set bonus can't proc on ws.

Set effect can't proc on WS as far as I'm aware. Inside abyssea your acc/dDex will be capped easily, so the -acc/-Dex on Heafoc is nothing. Target depending that will be the same case outside. When your target has high Agi outside of abyssea is when you'd use the Mufflers +2
edit: beaten to it!

Fairly sure Af3+2 head and af3 earring would be improvements to your set.

Do the hands need to be equipped during the WS for the Restraint + to kick in? If so then with restraint up it'd be better wouldn't it?

They don't. They "build the charge" until you WS. That's why you see the top TP builds make use of them.
Ideally, a WAR should aim for this AF3+2 combo while capping Haste (with minimal variations in the ring/waist slots at most).
Zeosilot, if you want you can refer to the topic I made not too long ago, called State of the art WS, in which I tried to provide the ideal best GA WS builds.
It was edited a bit according to the suggestions other people gave so I think it should be fairly reliable.

In light of the new update and the dDEX and crit damage caps being raised, along with new gear...
Whats the best Ukko's set up now? I imagine much hasn't changed except maybe use B. Haidate with a crit damage + aug?
And for atma, SS/RR/Apoc? VV/SS/RR? maybe SS/RR/Omni with 5/5+2?

It's a bit too early to establish precisely whaether the current WS build or Atma choices in Abyssea will change dramatically, but seeing how in Abyssea you already are capped on dDEX, I see no reason for stacking more DEX or using Atmas such as Omni.
The only items I found interesting for WAR would be calmecac subligar, calmecac trousers and oneiros axe. The axe is probably trash for everything except Fell Cleave burns with retaliation. jingang hose and jingang greaves reminded me of good ole SC heheh.
Properly Augmented Byakko's (I think I saw some Crit dmg +5% somewhere) will probably own for RR and UF though.

I thought dDEX cap was raised, maybe I don't know what I'm talkin about.
Been playing SS/RR/Apoc and ODD crits do about 300 more per. highest non-stacking with set proc was 1724. Seems to make Ukko's a bit better, but idk if it would weigh against losing your xhit if you rely on VV.

have you tried adding Blood Rage to the mix? RR + SS Atmas + BR JA + AF3+2 feet would be a 80% increase in Crit dmg.

As far i know Crit Dmg from equipment, traits and effects caps at 50% (that's what i read on wiki) so with RR atma and B Rage up you wont need AF3 feet or SS to reach it.
Dunno if things are changed with the last update

Just from eyeballing I'm pretty certain it's been changed in the update.
My old crits did 1.4k max, now its about 1.8k max when I use SS/Blood Rage.

Kirschy updated her crit damage testing page to say 100% and linked to testing. That's enough for me.

Been getting a lot of different answers from people who generally know what they're talking about; so hopefully someone here could help with a basic idea or what not, anyway. Should I be 5hitting or 6hitting Ukon? I've had people tell me 5hit isn't worth it because I give up too much DA or whatever here and there, then told that 5hitting would be better with capped haste still since DA has deminishing returns etc, so which is better/should I be using assuming no double march situations?

Gradd was telling me 5 hit Ukon loses out to 6 hit because of the sacrifices needed. also because of DA/TA bringing you over 100TP. Opinions?
Atheling, Pole Grip, Ravager's Gorget,Ravager's Earring, Double Attack From Augmented Ebody(If you need+2's STP+8) idk

Pretty sure 6hit is the way to go outside Abyssea since you have to wear all available STP, eat Carbonara, and use a regain WotG earring to maintain a 5-hit. Huge loss, particularly on harder content. Might be ok on old content though. Given that, 6-hit would also be the way to go if non-VV atma setups are ideal for WAR (just remembered I said I'd look into this, so I'll go do that >.>) since you're not working with any extra regain or STP.

Yeah, Gradd was telling me that Nightfrye ran the numbers and had 6hit Ukon beating 5hit, while other people I know were saying 5hit wins for them(All people who I know arn't morons)

They were also pre-update so obviously some things will have changed.

Ah, where can i find that spreadsheet? I had one a while ago but I had to restore pc etc, I pretty much stopped playing war all together until recently, so I'd like to see if I can get some idea back on what to do, etc

Regain is performing correctly in both low and high-haste situations for me. Going to re-evaluate 5-hit v 6-hit now.
