The Valk set is at BEST 1.3% better than the Armada set, and that's assuming Valk with your amazing augments versus a plain DA3 STP5/6 Armada. The advantage goes as low as 0.14% on very weak fodder mobs.
Realistically, most people won't be getting +10 Acc augment on their Valks, which really hurts it on higher end content. The second you become uncapped Acc, which is happening more and more with events, such as newer VW and Legion, the Valk set takes a nosedive, making the Aramda set the "best" set for a majority of people on higher end content.
That being said, I'm personally still going for a Valk for the situations it is the best, but I fully realize it's at best a side grade that will cost 10s of millions.

Maybe you'll get lucky and it will be cheap! I paid 25 mil for mine and server jumped a mule to buy it. But I also loaded that mule up with gear that cost me 4~ mil each and sold it where I jumped to for 6m-9m each. Ended up profiting 18m on the whole deal lol.
Difference on fodder mobs becomes even more slight if Fulad is viable. Then again, with the current status of legion it's probably more difficult to obtain than Valkyrie's.
So I'm at a point where Phorcy Salade is viable but can't figure out what ring to use in tandem with it. The set is almost the Armadaberk set up above 3 posts, but I don't have the HQ or Phos. Looking at that set, it looks like Mars ring is the common choice but I'm wondering if there are any other alternatives.
Not particularly, after Tyrant/Mars's you're looking at stuff like Excelsis/Keen etc., which are clearly inferior. Not sure how it is on your server but Mars's rings are fairly cheap at least on mine (as long as you're not buying one blatantly overpriced).
Although after checking ffxiah my server has a lot more in bazaars listed than yours does...

I'm not really worried about the cost. I've just never been a fan of Mars ring, as its like the best worst ring. Guess I'll grab a Mars, but I'll keep an eye out for any other responses.
Oneiros if you have MP merits. Mars's has always been a good ring for War, not sure how you'd ever consider it the 'best worst'. You sure as heck aren't evading on War.
Eh, you could use Phasmida and Blitz ring instead of Phos/Bullwhip and Mars. 2 less accuracy 8 less attack and for 14 evasion on WAR seems well, stupid. I can almost kinda sorta understand if you feel the HP on Bullwhip is worth it if that's what you're using instead of Phos.

Better, difference is pretty slight (Armada build is even closer, but still better).

Ninurta, Speed, Sonic, Velocity belts are the only other options then if you want that. Additionally you could sacrifice the hands slot for Perle, Dusk+1, or Brego and use whatever belt you want.
Or, if you have 3 Atmacites and only play WAR in VW, Atmacite of Latitude is a good addition to Discipline/Coercion. It comes with 3% Haste and 50 TP bonus (which is quite welcome on Ukko's Fury or Upheaval). Gives a lot of wiggle room in TP sets. Atmacite of the Valiant also works and might even be better at level 15, but I feel 50 TP bonus at level 10 Latitude is a better use of cruor if you're hard pressed for it.

Whats with all the hating on Phos belt? If you can afford armada or valk, and tatters to augment them, how can you not afford a 3-4m belt, a 500k cloth and a 20k skin? Am I missing something and speed belts and stuff are super stupid expensive on every server other than Odin or what?

Speeds are going for 6-8m here after update.
As much as I'd like a Phos belt, it's just not worth the investment right now.
