I see, 5 pages of ppl not liking PLD and yet posting in a thread for ppl that actually do. FU guys! =D
Anyway, since there aren't many situations where PLD would be an actual asset to the pt setup, I couldn't be arsed to worry about a good atma setup myself so far.
You can use all kinds of atma-setups on PLD, depending on what you are doing or try to do. So for skilling up or for mobs that mainly use phys attacks PDT atmas, like lion/heavens/earth wyrm, come to mind. Or for things where you are used to proc red/blue mainly (where PLD is still nice) you want to take those regain atmas you have available, like would be king/sea daughter/VV.
For other situations where you have to actually tank things with MDT or ele resist stuff, you can look those up on wiki easily but atma of the rescuer being 1 of the 3 atmas you can choose is generally a good thing to have for those situations.
If you have an almace or a fake one and gonna use it while tanking, you want to try to get a mix of offensive and defensive atmas, if offensive ones arent already good enough for this certain NM. So like RR/GH/Apoc (or switch to Omnipotent if it does help dmg more).
With all that being said, PLD and the use of atmas for PLD are very situational nowadays and always depend on what you are to do, what gear/weapons and also what other jobs you have available.
I hope that I could help you somehow.
