Pokemon City

This thread's title always reminds me of Paradise City by Guns 'n Roses every time it pops up on the main page of ffxiah.

Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard and Mega Blastoise. It was just revealed on Pokemon Direct.

Mega Blastoise looks awful. Weird ridges on his forehead and two new random guns. More tank like than ever I guess, but still looks weird.

Mega Charizard(like always) clearly had the most thought put in to it. Dude lost a ton of weight.
Just not in to all of this mega stuff, though I'll still play the hell out of X or Y like every main series game before them.

Less Weight, faster speed?

Blastoise looks the best of the 3. Best part of this is you get them super early in the game. Like 1st town early. So you essentially start off with 2 starters one from Chespin, Fennikin, and Froakie and one of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Which is pretty amazing. Since by the first gym you'll have 2 great pokemon.

The cannon on Blastoise just looks ridiculous.

Mega Absol, or just an Absol evolution maybe?

At first I too thought it was Mega Absol but it's wings are missing. Couldn't be an Absol evolution because Mega formed Pokemon are from the last pokemon in the evolution line.

Looks to be an all new pokemon all together. Alpaca-ish looking.

Mega Garchomp and another Mega Evolution Mewtwo. This Mega Mewtwo X is Psychic/Fighting-type and has the ability Steadfast. Mega Garchomp's ability is Sand Force.



Chigorasu which is Rock/Dragon and Amarusu which is Rock/Ice. There is a white dog called Torimian which is Normal-type and a Psychic-type cat called Nyaonikusu which has male and female appearances. It also states that Mewtwo is version exclusive. He also listed the Fairy-type chart. According to this, Fairy is Super Effective on Fighting, Dark and Dragon and not effective on Fire, Poison or Steel. It also states that it is weak to Poison and Steel while resists Fighting, Dark and Bug. It is immune to Dragon.



The right of this page are the fossil Pokemon. Chigorasu-Top, Amarusu-bottom.

Nyaonikusu's movepool varies by gender. The male is more of a supporter while the female is more of an attacker.

Hard Jaw increases the power of Biting moves. Freeze Skin turns Normal type moves into Ice-type moves and raises their power.

Female Nyaonikusu knows Extrasensory. Male knows Miracle Eye. Male is on the left, Female is on the right.

We can customize the poodle... 10/10. GOTY.

Chespin's evolution looks so friggin adorable and Froakie's looks so darn smug he's just perfect lol. So looking forward to seeing where they go from there.

Just had a thought, how broken Mega Wobbafett is going to be lol. I mean he was banned in tournaments no? So like how do you give him a mega evolution and make him fair? Hahaha

I don't get the mega-evolutions for Pokemon that are already stupid strong. Garchomp didn't need anything to potentially make it even more broken. I had hoped it would just be a system to make some slightly weaker Pokemon(Absol, Ampharos etc) easier to use in game and online, not just add spikes and cannons and ***to overly strong Pokemon. Mega system is dumb as hell.
I'll still play X and Y but the more they go on about the mega system the less interested I'm getting. Maybe just finally to old for this.
If that image is correct, Zangoose is getting a mega while Seviper isn't and that's all kinds of wrong considering their history.

Really hope 90% of the Pokemon on that picture are a mistake.

wouldn't be surprised if all mega evolutions end up being illegal. garchomp is already illegal in most tournaments, mega garchomp... oh man.

Plus knows Sand Force. Sandstorm and he will crush everyone.

Depends on what you mean by strong. Absol has an insane attack stat for being ranked in 'Never Used'. Same with Buffolant.

Depends on Mega-Garchomps stats. The reason Garchomp is such a threat is because it has a unique speed stat allowing it to out speed the majority of the games pokemon along with a rather good attack stat. And powerful STAB attacks.

I'm just going to ignore that.

Needs more Typhlosion up in this thread. :|
