Pokemon City

I got a couple of goodies. Like another Shiny Terrakion (anyone want it?) and a really nice Skarmory and Shroomish. But I'm totally over the Zigzagoon trolls, for real.

I finally completed Pokemon Y (by completed I mean beat the Elite Four + Champion) and I have to say that it was quite enjoyable. I'm probably putting it up there on my list of favorite Pokemon titles.

My only gripe is that it was waaay too easy, this is probably due to the Exp. Share affecting your entire party. While this is quite handy and useful for training purposes, it severely cuts out some gametime. The way I used to play Pokemon in other games was each time I reached a new route, I would grind out 3-4 levels to prepare for the challenges ahead. With Y, I didn't have to do that AT ALL.

This is the party I completed the game with:

Luxray - LV 77
Scrafty - LV 80
Altaria - LV 96
Spiritomb - LV 74
Greninja - LV 71
Delphox - LV 79

As you can see, my party's levels are a bit unbalanced. Perhaps natures affect EXP gain somehow? I had 2 Lucky Eggs and all of them were traded for, so everyone of them had the boosted EXP bonus. Don't even ask me how Altaria got so high above the others, I only used it in about 5 battles total throughout the entire game, one of them being the Dragon Elite Four trainer. Spiritomb was rarely used as well, but when I had to use him it was quite handy to have. Scrafty and Luxray were probably the most used.

What I enjoyed most about Y was the story. That part at the very end where you battle that one particular trainer...I shed a few tears of joy for him afterwards. I have never got so emotionally invested in a Pokemon game before. /tips hat to Nintendo. Great jobs guys!


I broke down and bought Alpha Sapphire last night, currently in Rustboro City debating what Pokemon I want to add to my permanent team. So far I just have my starter (Torchic).

Exp Tnl is different between pokemon, some (usually higher the dex number or stronger pokes) need more xp points to level.

Altaria itself gains EXP rather quickly between level 35 and 100, where as Swablu, earns EXP rather slowly, even in comparison to other slow growers.

All Pokemon I have never raised before, so this should be fun!

Magnizone is pretty powerful.

It was my first shiny I captured in X. I have sense captured/hatched 5 other shinys lol...

When I pick up OR/AS (One of them), I'm getting Steelix XD! (Or Metagross)

I know he isn't amazing, but I always loved that Pokemon.

I wanted a Crystal Onix so bad.

I have a shiny Beldum and a shiny Metagross.

It was part of the event when it was first released though, but if I can find another shiny Beldum....I can have a shiny family!

I'll help you out, I got a shiny steelix if you wanna trade something for him. I don't really need mine, so I'll tip the trade in your favor since I have a normal Steelix with Sheer Force

Looking to get my mittens on a shiny Staryu, will trade a shiny Steelix for it. (It's not 100% ready to roll, but it has some serious stats)

For those of you in the United Kingdom, GAME have announced that they will be holding a new event. This event is to give a serial code to get a special Shiny Charizard, matching one that was released in Japan last year and running with one that Gamestop are doing in Germany. This event will run from April 3rd until April 19th.

No luven for the NA crowd....

Comes holding a Charizardite Y, is in a Cherish Ball, and has the move "Hold Hands"

I bought a N3DS XL about a month ago, with a 64GB Micro SD. You just have to reformat it to FAT32 format. I used a third party program called SD Reformatter (I think) to do it. Took about an hour to reformat. Used my friend's laptop with an SD card reader to put my old SD stuff on the dekstop, then used an SD adaptor with my Micro SD in it and drag/dropped the folder onto the micro SD.

Just a few days ago I was deposing of my plethora of 5/6 Eevee's on wonder trade and got a shiny, perfect, 6/6, blue pentagon, Ditto. I am still giddy about it.

For those with the Pokémon X & Y or Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games, the latest patches have gone out globally. These patches just have various bugfixes listed in their patch data. You have to update the games in order to go online.

Oh, and Wonder Trade Wednesday was good to me. Shiny Muk, Shiny Hydreigon both Lv. 100, a shiny Lv. 50 Krookodile, and last but not least, a Lugia.

And several Zigzagoons and Magikarps because people are trolls.

I sent out a bunch of 5IV (two 6IV) Adamant Technician Meowths. I know, lolMeowth but I like sending off "unique" Pokemon that I don't normally get from Wonder Trades.
