Basically what this means is. Each person has a Shiny Value.

For example we learned yours is 1751.

Now lets say I am breeding like a mother and I get an egg with a shiny value that matches yours.(1751) Now I trade you the egg and it has a 100% to hatch shiny because the egg's shiny value matches your Shiny Value. Cool huh?

yar! that is cool.

need anything else from me? or have any spare rejects you dont want? Someone around here had a ***ton of eevee's. i wouldnt mind getting enough of them to evolve em for pokedex

I have like boxes of stuff you can look at and see what you want lol. But I'm good thanks for helping me out :)

how do i look at your boxes?

Edit for page! Art of my Favorite Starter

So could someone give me a link or an explanation on IV breeding I never really got into it in any of the other games. I wouldnt mind taking part in the tournaments but I doubt I get anywhere without IV breeding. I know I have the right items, destiny knot and everstone, but all im getting are 1, 2 or 3/6 IV pokes...

You would also need the 6 Power items.

The basic idea is to get at least 12 Dittos with 2/6 perfect IVs each (Friend Safari only) and start from there. At least have all the Dittos having all 6 IVs 2 times each. If you need some Dittos, I can give you my set when I get home tonight and go farm 12 more myself, it isn't that hard.

You use those Dittos to breed a breeding pair, can go as high as 5/6 IVs each (if you are going after the perfect poke) or 4/6 if you just want the basic 5/6 Poke. As you are breeding for the perfect breeder, look for the one who has the right nature you want (Modest or Adamant are the popular choices, but they are not the only ones people go after). Keep that one to the side, even if they don't have any IVs on them.

When you get a breeder of the opposite sex of the one with the right nature, then that is when you go to town. As you get babies of the opposite sex of the breeder with 5/6 IVs, and that baby has more IVs than the nature breeder, then replace the nature breeder with the baby you got. Keep doing that until you get your 5/6 (or 6/6 if you are going for that) with the right nature.

That is breeding in a nutshell.

Thanks you two.

So ive got a tyranitar(female) that is 5/6 but doesnt have the nature I want ive equiped it with a destiny knot and the other (adamant cranidos) with everstone. The baby larvitars are coming out with 1 or 2 IV is that normal and do I just keep switching males till I eventually get one with the 5/6 IVs that I want?

Ive got all the dittos ready but ty for the offer.

Yeah, when you start getting Lavatars with the 1 or 2 IVs and the nature you want, that is when you start "upgrading" your nature breeder up.

People can make tons of fake items in older gens, I doubt they will ever let people transfer held items

I doubt they'll change their mind about that.

From III to IV you couldn't transfer items and from IV to V you couldn't transfer. I can't see any reason why they'd go ahead and allow it now. Though there were specific reasons behind the previous generation restrictions I guess. TM's being the biggest issue from III-V.

I would really like for this to happen though. Really no interest in farming insanely annoying battle maison for the power items etc. Can't even evolve my Gligar without dealing with maison.

Someone here has a Ditto Safari but not sure if that google doc is maintained or where it even is now.

Is that the actual color for the Goodra shiny? Because that is just god awful. That first female with sap sipper would be nice but I can't use a pokemon I didn't just breed or catch myself, one of a couple (now) stupid rules I placed on myself.

Not sure how common Goodra is in the competitive scene but I really enjoy using mine. One of the few Dragon types that isn't hugely threatened by a lot of the new fairy types(or anything special in general). To bad it didn't get Recover as an Egg move. Or any useful egg moves.
