Americans are not bad people. I'd actually say England is worse, it's because America has so many people, that so many idiots are noticeable.

I'll admit, in the past, when I was younger, I had the same pathetic opinion of the US, and in turn Americans.

Since then, I've met so many Americans I like, respect and agree with on so many things, if I had to write a list of each American I liked the servers would be back up before I finished.

In short, the majority of Americans truely care about the situation in Japan, and want to help in anyway they can, same as I do, and you are shallow, arrogant and I'm ashamed to be in the same country as you if you think "LOL ALL AMERICANS R STUPID LULZ". Look at our own *** country, it's no different. The quicker the British get off their high horse and realise we are no different from Americans, the better.

Yeah we had an Empire once. Canada is under what we'd call the Commonwealth these days too.

Guys, if we're going to turn this into a cultural finger-pointing rant session, I'm just going to flame core it.

We took over India when we had the biggest empire in the world, and we didnt take over Autralia we colonised it with convicts.

I have already admitted that I went too far in my origanal post (I tend to do that when I get pissed off), hence why i deleated it. The problem is the mass of posts from ignorent people.

That's the thing! Nobody would really act the way they do on forums. You say everybody which would imply 100% of people. That there is flawed and stupid. Also Zahrah has a point, but lets not open up another can of derp. I don't feel that it is fair to criticize another culture based on an older generations mistakes.

So by saying us Americans are nothing but *** then what the hell are we doing with search and rescue efforts. Why would we even help Japan if all of us hold a grudge over the past.

We made *** peace for how many years, Our economies have impacted one another for the good. We have shared technologies, ideas, thoughts, and over the years have tried to seek forgiveness for what we both have done. Don't affiliate us with the thoughs and actions political extremists and trolls.

I agree with you though, Dale. This forum has done a lot to change my opinion of Americans.

But then I've always kinda felt Canada and the USA had a similar dbag to cool person ratio, it's just that the USA has 10 times more people.

Also to the people in the U.S. Military, and those out there with red cross. You have no idea how jealous/proud I am of them doing this for the good of our fellow man. I'd do it in a heart beat if I was allowed too. Hell I tried, just stay safe out there please. It hurts to hear 17 Navy Crewman have radiation poisoning already. But it breaks my damn heart knowing the death toll is over 2400 now (And rising).

The servers being down isn't a huge deal to me. I just hope some sense of normality can return. That may be tough though since some of the coastline sank with people, homes, and memories if there are survivors. Never being able to go back is more pain on top of that.

As a katrina surviver i really do feel bad for Japan. even if their players do type in those silly squiggly words that make me /sh SQUIGGLES! everyday. Maybe the world is just trying to come back together. I mean it did after all break apart did it not. I think we should help to a degree but honestly... i still have to think one thing. How are we suppose to help others when america can't even help its own community? America is so *** over (yes i am american) I'm surprised we all havent fled the country yet. My best wishes and prayers to those over sea's I wish i could donate but as many ppl I don't even have a job to support myself in america. It's kinda obvious though, when ppl are getting mad over the game being down. Don't they have other things to do to not get mad? It's a game, nothing more.

Yeah I play, but I also have work/school/friends/and everything else in between. I can really care less that FFXI is down for who knows when. Because I have other better important things to do. FFXI is just my getaway. But I've got plenty of other things to do.

If you met anyone that knows me irl will tell you that I have always had a short fuse, I have said that I went too far and I am willing to leave it, but if you dont then what can we do /sigh

I'm talking about Americans. I went to Germany recently for 5 weeks. It really blew my mind to see the extent of ppl's beliefes. So many ppl hate America but its not like we give ppl a reason not to.

wow I leave for a few hours to watch some downloaded movies i didnt pay for and come back to all hell breaking loss... granted people of the US have alot of ***to hate of us for. Helping out in damn near every disaster on any point of the world, feeding the hungry, making fresh water (I.E. USS Carrier in japan), sending of fresh hunking studs to bone as many chicks as possible. its not the American "person" that makes people dislike us.. its the American politics. I'll never apologize for what America does.
