Minecraft Anyone?

It would be nice if more people like Faelar came to see our server. FFXI players are a welcome change from the typical Minecraft teenie-bopper. (we don't have a white list, so anyone can log in x.x) Faelar is actually the first person to join to appreciate the size and scale of the cities I spent months putting together.

We're still fairly new so there aren't a whole lot of people playing yet.

Just to elaborate on the video...

The server offers a very diverse range of activities and features.

Hunger Games (every saturday)
Dungeons (with rewards! Diamonds and spells and loot, OH MY~!)
Spells (HUGE list of spells available)
Creative World
Survival World
Factions (Raiding and PVP is encouraged)
Towns
A Nexus (Staging Point between everything, connecting them all)

Anyway, more detail on this particular server. Its inspired by FFXI mainly, with other FF's and MMO's sprinkled in.


When you first join, you spawn on the deck of a ship moored in Alexandria. To your right is a portal to the Nexus, which links all the different worlds and dungeons together. More on that in a bit. As you exit the ship, you will progress into Alexandria itself, where you will find a Library. In the library you may learn your first few basic Magicks, and if you are diligent you may find a few more spells hidden on the bookshelves! You will find spells as rewards in dungeons or find them cleverly hidden anywhere on any map! All spells require a reagent, which at the moment is only redstone. If you explore Alexandria further, you will find a few shops and even a replica of Final Fantasy VII's Highwind Airship! :D

Now back to the Nexus.

At the Nexus you will find Warps to various worlds and towns, including Dream World (Creative Land), Alexandria (Spawn Town), Al'Zhabi (another town), Skylands (Adventure map), and additional warps to various themed dungeons. So far, only the Earth, Ice, and Wind dungeons are open, with the others in progress. Some dungeons require teamwork, so bring a buddy when tackling them!

The server utilizes the Factions plugin. I myself am not a huge fan of it, but it makes for some faction VS faction PVP and raiding, which some players may like. This is also how you claim land and protect your builds.

One of the most fun things about this server are the various PVP arenas and Mob Arenas. At any time you may type the entry command to enter one of them. At the mob arenas, you have a choice between 6 classes (knight, Tank, Mage, Archer, Puppet Master, or Chemist) to play as you fight wave after wave of monsters! After each wave you earn rewards that you can carry outside with you after the arena. The PVP arenas are very expansive, one is even themed after Warsong Gulch from World of Warcraft.

This is just some of what this server has to offer. I've had a blast on it so far!

Ok for everyone that plays on the FFXIAH server we are installing spells mod, in the case that it does not prompt you to download the texture pack that goes with this mod, here is the link that will give you the instructions on how to do it, you only need to go to step 9.
As far as using a image manipulation program you can download GIMP from CNET for free.

It's just going to prompt them to download the pack before they login the server all it does is add the stave into the game to make it craftable

Ok so I did a challenge the other day on the AH server and it went very well, I'm wanting to do another one called the Throne of a King, the goal in this challenge is to build a throne of gold blocks in this layout now the first person to do this will be able to keep this throne at the place they choose to for a week, after that I will make a new challenge for people to have a chance of taking the trophy.

Bit of a redstone noob here, but I built a redstone door that I want to be able to open from either side with a lever. Whats the specific circuit called that I need to make it work?

Just one issue with that challenge, last i checked Gate had turned off PVP globally after i had gone though the trouble of diabling it in localized areas.

So Gate, please re-enable PVP globally.

Going through areas it says PvP enabled the place where I have the challenge set up should be PvP as well

Bump: pvp was not turned on but had gate turn it on. Also if you plan on doing this deadline will be Monday night to let me know, I will not allow anyone to decide at the last minute or while the challenge is going on to come in.

Another bump: Ok seeing as nobody is interested I'm going to throw in a full set of diamond gear, and diamond tools as an award for winning the challenge. Deadline for entry will be monday night at midnight.

Most people who play on the server have Creative Mode already.


Might I suggest a dungeon, parkour, obstacle course, pixel art contest, or a gathering contest? Just some ideas xD

Can also try googling some neat minecraft contest/game ideas.

Thinking abotu making a dungeon or something for the survival players.

The people who have creative mode will be made survival for the duration of the challenge, if you are an op use the honor stystem and do not change from one to the other.

Edit: it is a gathering challenge as well basically farm enough gold to make the blocks for the throne, you get to keep the throne as a trophy plus a full set of diamond gear and tools.

btw this week i wont be at my pc much my moms wedding ison the 8th so il be out of the house doing my thing so i can look nice

warp mobtown is a survival area with some hidden rewards in it, once you enter you cant warp out have to walk, and it is a hostile area.

Catch is she wants to play on a LAN map, not multiplayer, and I'm not sure a cracked version allows that. Guess I'll google it real quick.

it is an xor gate. it ends up being 3x6x2 in the simplest format. the 2 inputs will toggle the output regardless of its current state.
