Not yet, no. Sorry, didn't mean to give that impression. Guess I'm just assuming the worst at this point
Would be pretty easy to tell really. So they should already know... how long before we do is another story

That's a little disturbing.

What that they may withhold telling us stuff for a bit? I think that last update kinda proves they are doing that lol. Or the fact we got word of the cooling failure after the explosion?

Of course they do. Don't want to cause unecessary panic and all so some determination of how bad it really is should be determine first. Like calling fire in a theatre before checking to see it's in a trashcan in the bathroom. But there is also the PR to look at. Don't want to say it looks bad if you think you might be able to say not that bad

Oh well...just like the Gulf spill, no one wants to be the one to admit just how big the problem really is. :/

Easier to say "we're monitoring the situation closely." :/

Meh perhaps but doubt too much of it will become public knowledge. Which makes it hard to believe if this was just a whoops this couldn't have been prevented/minimized or hey did people end up *** up.

Like look up nuclear accidents. Most have rather decent amount of info on them. Like about how they happened what exactly happened. You can read entire wiki articles on some. Most of the jp ones are like 1 line blurbs. Half of which is external stuff like say earthquakes lol.

***. This sounds serious.

@BBCBreaking via Twitter said:
1009: "This is starting to look a lot like Chernobyl" Walt Patterson, an associate fellow with Chatham House, has told the BBC after seeing pictures of the explosion at the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant. "The nuclear agency says that they have detected caesium and iodine outside the unit, which certainly indicates fuel melting at the very least," he says. "Once you have melting fuel coming into contact with water, that would almost certainly be the cause of the explosion."

Dasva, thoughts? Does that really indicate what he claims it does? Isn't this the sort of thing you said could re-ignite reactions?

1011: More from Walt Patterson of Chatham House. He says the presence of the radioactive caesium in the surrounding area does not pose a huge threat to public health in the immediate aftermath of the explosion. "What would be serious is if there was an explosion or fire that lifted this stuff high in the air, meaning it could get carried over a wide area."

Omg I found one in there that accused jps of nuking pearl harbor... oh and he calls them krauts too.

I think the best one is some chick that looks like she is maybe 20 that says she "still hasn't forgiven" them for pearl harbor. Pretty sure still implies you might someday but if you can't forgive someone for something that happened decades before you were born you probably never will

1016: The BBC's environment correspondent Roger Harrabin says he understands the blast at the nuclear plant may have been caused by a hydrogen explosion - also one of the possibilities laid out by Walt Patterson of Chatham House. "If nuclear fuel rods overheat and then come into contact with water, this produces a large amount of highly-flammable hydrogen gas which can then ignite," our correspondent says.

I think so. I had one person say something similar on my facebook wall, she seemed to be sure that the japanese nuked pearl harbour after we attacked Nagasaki.

I told her to read up on WWII and she told me to '*** off'

I'm pretty sure the closest those kind of people get to actual history, is Ben Afleck shooting down a Zero with a Colt 1911.

I just can't understand how people can be so spiteful of a group of human beings and at the same time be so incorrect and full of arrogant ***. It's just mind boggling.

This is the equivalent of native americans facebooking the praise of 9/11 and saying we had it long coming, or something HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE like that.
