NEEEEEEEDD anime suggestions - please assist!

Hmm, would need a set of 'how to use' instructions per page he sent out. Always seemed too lazy to do too many like that. Only problem with it being Ryuk again, he would have learnt the 'most fun human type' from Light, so we would be stuck with Light v2, rather than a new and possibly interesting character.

I mean he just grabs the book rips out pages and tosses and watches the mass hysteria. Wouldn't even really need a how to use. Be more fun if each person has to figure it out themselves and possibly from others as they make the news. Would kinda be a race to see who can learn it the best with using the least amount of space as they try to learn from each other and eliminate the competetion or some such before they run out of room

HMMMMMMM interesting. Especially if it has either Ryuk or another death god working with the leader of the kira cult (lets be realistic, Ryuk isnt smart enough to think up the mass hysteria idea). Make it like a game to see who is worthy of succeeding kira.

Not really Anime per say, but Avatar the Last Airbender remains one of my favourite all time shows.

Not sure it's been said, don't think it has, but I the only anime I've ever watched was Hunter X Hunter. A lot to take in though as the story progresses with their powers getting more complicated, I think.

I've seen all of these aside from Togainu no Chi, which is too much of a BL anime for me~ i do like ur taste tho, and will be looking and ur list.
Edit: I REALLY liked Densetsu Yuusha, it caught me in a bit of a slump and i started watching while expecting nothing interesting or good - the music and plot are very well done and animation quality is perfect. The cliche is there obviously, but its used well and with some newish bents.

Not complex enough imo, at least not enough to balence the old animation quality.

As long as this is the only reference to lolAizen VS lolIchigo in this thread, im happy.
Ya, personally i would have liked to see DN go on up to 20 volumes - realistic, and 8 more is plenty of time for a full new development but not too long as to get boring (i.e. bleach/naruto/one piece).

Ryuk is the only thing that came good out of it. I liked it until the last 2 episodes where I went "wtf..." I'd rather had something more morbid to close it out.
If they would have done something to that extent I would have been way more impressed.
Was reading DN since english releases started. The outcome wasnt my ideal either but there was no real way light COULD win. I didn't want light to win..I wanted a lot more death going down.
I wanted the traditional non-america film standard of "no one wins"
with everyone dying and the shinigami coming down and kicking some *** or something epic like that(that's not really the only scenario, just the one off my head at the moment)
if they'd have done that the ending would have felt a lot less open ended.
i just don't like the lack of finality of it because that leaves me feeling that they are going to bastardize it more in the future like most popular media.

I feel the manga ending with the cult kinda left things open. And I saw something someone did of Light winning and basically becoming president of the world. But then when he died he basically had to relive all the deaths he had caused while Ryuk was like whoops forgot to mention that :)

Im not too put off by the ending tbh, it had some sense of realism. USUALLY someone wins, or at least survives - which is what happened. In the end, all but 2 of the involved parties were wiped out, and there really were a lot of groups involved - L, melo, executives, etc etc.

You cant really apply 'winning' and 'losing' to 'dying in the end', death is an absolute, the only 'win/lost' situation is when someone either dies or avoids dying by the hand of another mortal.

I dunno if Misa killed herself or not, id like to say she didn't because we never saw her Shimigami. At the end of the anime movie it shows Light as a Shimigami.

Yeh, we're just talking the manga. Anime TV and movies tend to change a lot, so i put almost no reliability into them, and stick with the manga as its more accurate to the author's intentions.

Well yeh, been watching anime now for nearly 6 years and have pretty much exhausted most avenues.
Looking for something with a good plot - no shallow narutoesque bullcrap for example. Ideally with good animation quality, although not important. Good music is a must.
Pretty much any genre, although no dedicated ecchi or fanservice focused stuff please - some ecchi is fine so long as it isnt a major part of the plot, like the To Aru Majitsu No Index and spinoffs come to mind as examples.
Examples of stuff i've loved:
Baccano!, Durarara!!, death note, Ouran HS host club, Ef: a tale of the two, rebuild of evangelion (2.0 especially), kuragahime, Angel beats!, Break Blade, Bakuman, Bokurano, Clannad/AS, darker than black, Higurashi no Eden, Ghost in the shell, Level E, GTO, kaicho wa maid sama, Gunslinger girls, Noein, Seitokai Yakuindomo, Shiki, SOUL EATER, Spice and wolf, Full metal panic - especially fumoffu, To aru kagaku no railgun (and index), Toradora, crest/banner of the stars, Umineko no nako koro ni, vampire knight, Working!.
Manga examples, Kaze Hikaru, Hoshi no Samidere (lucifer and the buiscit hammer), Otomen, eternal sabbath, Dogs bullets and carnage, Hana Kimi, Black Lagoon.
Looking primarily for anime over manga, tho exceptional mangas please recommend!
I realise im asking a lot and im not expecting anything~ but pretty much out of watchable material and down to rewatches.
