Curious what the Abyssea Shell scene is like. Here on Caitsith there is still a few larger shells that do many events but there is a seemingly endless amounts of "small man" shells. Is this true for Ragnarok as well?

Very much so. It seems everyone has adopted an "every man for themselves" approach. There are a couple lulzers who bring a whole posse out but they still usually get outclaimed.

Yeah just recently got together with a group of my friends and decided to start our own low man group. It's nice here atm, hardly ever have competition for pops and if there is, folks are very kind to take turns even team up in some instances. Hate to think that this might change with there potentially being two times as many people =/

Last week we finished one of our guys level 85 Almace (lilbersty if anyone wants to peep at his page and make him all uber paranoid) and you would have thought Guku was Nidhogg 5 years ago. It's not just the other 3-4 lowman groups that pissed me off, it's the 1 JP nin/whm duo and the 1 spanish whm/mnk who felt the need to claim him a dozen times through the week and not even attempt to proc any !!. ***'s just rude :/

For the most part I see many JP shells camping these more frequently than NA when I have been there the past week building +2 pops for my group. But claiming them w/o attempting to trigger !! is just harsh >.<;;

I'm Sure this change will be good, and I myself am looking forward to this but the thought of not being on caitsith is WEIRD!

Btw, regarding Abyssea the JPs tend to take over usually around the weekends. It is kind of quiet during the week during EU prime time unless you get a few of the not at work NAs online. Only on the timed NMs can you see any RAWR competition (like Guku, man outclaiming a PLD with my BRD's flash was fun <.> NOT) Popped NMs honestly, the only time I have seen any asshats is the one random JP but usually some LS there who ignore you when you ask "How many left?" no matter who you ask so you go to another pop NM, only for them to show up 10mins later and actually try beat you at popping it *flails arms in desperation* I MEAN HONESTLY! Communication attempts though are at least the key.

Now about this here meat... Have you ever noticed how ROTUND elvaan ladies bums are? I bit one once. Tasted like beef. It was New Years, I was tipsy and wearing nothing but a subligar and my crafting apron. My manthra was picking a fight with a door, all the tarus were already in bed and my LS were all getting plastered in some bar singing karaoke...

You could've seen Safari claim gukumatz 50 times in a row with other 6-7 ppl in the area the past week, and heqet literally the same, the guy would go to the area 10 secs be4 pop outclaim whoever may be there (regardless of numbers, he was always with his mule, claim >> kill >> out).

After reporting this guy and another tard 2 times to a GM and seeing nothing happened (literally, they might be doing their "investigation" still) makes me sad lol.

i felt like some of the fun of the chase was gone when i could take a duo team out (me & my RL girl who lives with me) at any point.

It's all good Zal, no hard feelings, I know it can be tough sometimes in RL to come up with extra cash. Six months ago same thing happened to me, wasn't able to play for a couple months. Just make sure you find me on the new server :) my name should be the same, been doing some searches and only thing close was "Crunky" that hasn't had activity since 2009.

And yeah weekends here are caitsith are ridiculous with timed NM's like Cyana is saying, especially early/late JP times. Usually farm during the week and pop all the T3 on the weekends.

The pop NM competition and douchebaggery has generally died down on Rag. There's still some floating around, but mostly it's the timed spawn NMs that receive any kind of noticeable "omg." Seems like most low man shells on our server has adopted the trade pop courtesy thankfully.

Also, I have no idea what I just witnessed but I pick fights with doors all the time :< I don't win ; ;

Eh, I'm thinking it's probably wise to do a general warning of types of players for events rather than individuals at this point. Let us all judge each other on our own terms--who we hate they may end up liking, and who they hate we may end up liking.

Once they're here in Ragnarok, sure blab and warn all you want. For now though, we should just all try to understand each other as best we can over forums like this one. :) It's a tad rude to point out names, especially if they cannot defend themselves--no?
