Yeah it is terribad I know >< I started it a while ago and it just made me miss DA:O, that's why I am wrapping up my achievements and whatnot on there.
I hear DA has an amazing story but the controls were so piss poor I couldn't warrant playing the game.
They really dropped the ball and ruined DA2, DA:O was fantastic though. Really hope they don't mess up ME3...

It wasn't, they dumbed the entire game down to fit it onto consoles from the get go, essentially. The gameplay was incredibly shallow, you could essentially win the game by spamming one button. Tactical party combat was completely useless and may as well not have been in the PC version at all. It took me 15~16 hours to finish the game in its entirety (side quests etc.)
