Disclaimer: I don't have half this gear, this is goal management. I still have some work to do before Ukonvasara is finished but I'm comfortable setting goals ahead now. Also, and this is important, I do not use any form of macro assistance, and therefore am limited to 6 pieces of gear being exchanged in my macro. I am asking for prioritization on which gear to be swapped out.

If the above the gear set being aimed for, what six pieces should take priority for Ukko's Fury in the below gear?

Use 2 macro sets and you can swap 12 slots. That's how I swap gear on XBox.

^This. Rolling macros (while they can be annoying at times) are a great way for console players to play effectively, most people just don't know about them (or are too lazy to have /macro set 2 in their macro).

Either way, top 6, I'd say:

Ring, Body, Head, Neck, Pants, Back (though aren't they all the changes anyway? or am I overlooking something? >_>;)

If you're not going to use windower, make 2 macro sets at least,

ex.
alt. 1 = TP1
alt. 2 = TP2

Do the same for your ws gear as well this will take up a total of 5 macro tabs but will be far greater than just using 6 gear swaps.

In all seriousness though unless you're playing on ps2 or 360, you should really consider windower.

edit. beaten too it lol

I went back and counted and there's only 7 gear swaps. Seemed like a helluva lot more than that when I was making those item sets. Hitetsu, you forgot the belt is all.

Can someone give me an example of a rolling macro? I use macro-set swaps on my WHM all the time, but creating one for WAR never seemed... beneficial.

For Ukko's he could stick with Ravager's legs, hands, feet, Brutal and Rajas from the TP Set. Moonshade could also be saved if he chose the right augments (Regain and TP Bonus maybe?)

The slots that would definitely need swapping are Head, Body, Neck, Belt, back and 1 Ring.

I would rather suggest using 2 different macros so you can swap gear freely.

Hachiryu are nice, but since fSTR is most likelly capped the Attack+15 and Double attack+5% on AF3+2 would out do them easy over time IMO.

For the body just go with Zahak's Mail, I've seen the numbers on it an it's even better then Grim Cuirass+1 with berserk up. Depending on your server it's only like 200k.

/yes?
/no?

But yeah play on PC or use 2 macros for it. Though doing so might negate your 5 hit build depending on how fast you can hit your macros tbh.

Edit: Never mind that last comment I never looked into rolling macros but for example my WS macros are like this.

/console exec WARRR.txt
/ws "Raging Rush" <t>
/wait 1
/Console exec WATP.txt

So never really bothered lol.

Your macro would look something like this:

/equip 1
/equip 2
/equip 3
/equip 4
/equip 5
/macro set 2

/equip 1
/equip 2
/ws
/macro set 1

That way, you can just hit the same button twice and it'll put all your gear on and WS, then you just set a TP one up and hit that a couple of times to put your TP gear back on. It will change your macro pallete from Book 1 - Set 1, to Book 1 - Set 2, WS then back to set 1 with your "main" macros in there.

I used something similar to those macros but tried to limit it to only three buttons for ws:

Pre-WS:
/equip gear
/equip gear
/equip gear
/equip gear
/equip gear
/equip gear

WS:
/equip gear
/equip gear
/ws <t>
/wait 1
/de-equip gear
/de-equip gear

TP:
/de-equip
/de-equip

etcetera.
