Late after the /rage and /troll already hit this but:

I used to at 75 would just play BRD cause I had it at like every event even though I didn't want to. I enjoyed WHM and COR more.

Once they raised the lvl cap- was a godsend for me.

Only lvled WHM and COR- and only play them now, don't have to be BRD or BLM or THF anymore just cause I have it at 75 and can.

WHM or COR is fine with me I love both jobs :)

I think that there is a fine line in being able to do your own thing in FF. Its all about finding good ppl to do things with that dont talk ***about your gear,skill lv or know how. but instead help you grow. I love how ppl over time think that being an elite makes the game more fun lol. seems like the more i chased the elite status the more i blew of my friends an the less fun i had.......

It's not wrong to think. Lots of innovation in this game came about from someone thinking outside the box.

PLD/NIN and NIN/DRK, for example, ushered in a whole new era for the game where tanks could hold stable hate without everyone going /THF and where tanks didn't need to get cure bombed after every regular hit.

But innovation is only useful insofar as it facilitates progress. For all those people that changed there are dozens upon dozens more people who tried to think outside the box and failed utterly and miserably.

Trying to justify failure thereafter by being different, by playing the game "the way you want," etc. is the point where you become a retard. Making the choice to be inferior in order to be different makes you a bad player. Inferiority is inferiority.

A cookie-cutter becomes a cookie-cutter because of effectiveness. A retard gets relegated to special ed because being "special" is not always good.
