I don't watch Bleach, nor seen an ep, but Rukia certainly makes me want to learn something about her. And I mean the classy nice wholesome Rukia pics.
Orihime was there to basically be the opposite. Very curvy, weak, annoying, and cutesy I guess. I love that the creator did that, but I still think he should of given Orihime a better roll than what she was given.

First you should turn on debug and track where its going wrong, you could also turn on gear swaps to see it in your log.

Rukia is a primary character with a large role in the story.
Ishida was a primary character with a small role and doesn't really come up all that much unless he's a main character in a certain arc.
Chad was also a primary character but with a small role, and he had more of a focus near the end of the story.
Orihime was a large role in the story, but is very weak throughout the whole thing and doesn't really progress as a character all that much.

There are dozens of other characters that play smaller roles but are still great characters.
I always feel that support characters make the story what it is, and the main characters shouldn't overwhelm everyone else to make them seem useless.
