Well, my aftermarket cpu cooler finally came in (after issuing a claim for a lost package). After removing the old hsf and removing everything from my mobo so I could remove my mobo. I install the bracket and get my mobo reinstalled.

Then, I continue to mount the new hsf, after fiddling with top bracket forever to get it to lock in to my sockets specs. Finally I get it mounted and reinstall everything else.

Then, as I go to put the side of my case back on, I come to find out that it doesn't fit anymore. The top of the copper pipes bump against my 250mm fan on the side of the case. >.> So now I just have my side propped up against the side of the case, because *** undoing everything I just did.

Initial ambient temps are between 6 and 10°C cooler. Now I wait to see what the temps are after the initial break-in.

~.~ When I did the new build for the PC I am using now I ordered a 212 evo... it wouldn't fit with the RAM I had on there, the sides knocked up against it and since AMD is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE and is rectangular and not square, I couldn't just turn the heatsink the other way.

Ended up giving that one to my dad and just using my old Cooler Master N 520. And then I wasn't happy with my temps when I started to overclock so I bought a Corsair H80.

I got the 212 Evo too. Didn't have any problems with the RAM not fitting luckily. Just don't really like that I can't close my case.

Could just take the 250mm fan off and mount a couple of 120mm's?

So I'm looking to get myself some higher quality socks off amazon. Preferably ones that are thick so I don't get rips or holes like I do with typical store socks. Also would prefer something moisture/odor resistant as my feet sweat pretty bad ._. Any suggestions?

I just go the opposite route and buy giant bags of cheap socks and wear them until they die.

My wife hates how many socks I have... I just went to the store one day and bought like 3 or 4 bags of 20 pairs of socks one day. Still have most of them.

Use these so your feet don't sweat >.>

The side of my case only has the option for 1 250mm. I need to get a new case, this one is kinda old and not very customizable.

I originally had the same mindset as you, but it's getting to the point where I'm literally destroying my socks on a weekly or less basis. This applies to shoes as well. Hell, apparently I've even destroyed a pair of doc martins as a kid, so I'm quite tough on my feet :(
So I figure now would be a good time to invest in something worthwhile and up to the task of protecting my destructive feet.

How do you destroy your socks that fast? Do you have claws or something?

Sweat and abrasion with everyday wear and tear just demolishes simple quality socks you get at places like Walmart or Target. I need hiker or athlete socks, but since this will be my first time getting anything like that, I was wondering if anyone had ideas or suggestions, or even better, a recommendation.
