That's true for most of Iowa as well.

The Quad City area is a little hax though. Apparently the odd bend in the river causes storms to be cut in half or weaken them significantly. So we rarely get a tornado here.

Same for my area. But if I want to go to one of the dozens of state parks, they are all within driving distance. I don't do clubbing so Ybor city can go to hell, The beach is an hour drive away, Crystal Springs in an hour away, Disney/Seaworld is 2 hours away, Busch Gardens is an hour away, Cypriss Gardens is 2? hours away, Fort Des-Solo is 2 hours away.. Fishing? an hour for Sea fishing, 15 minutes for river or lake fishing.

There's tons of ***to do in florida. You just have to make a small effort.

Publix is a private owned grocery chain that started in Florida.

Till the Hurricanes come! Then its "bug the *** out of the state" time. -_-
