Oh I'm glad to hear. I haven't really been able to ask others what they thought about the reboot so far. I liked it for what it was (A stress test) but I hope Beta gives us lots of extra goodies to play with.

i hope beta does too but i saw the flaws they hard but overall its was good to me just hoping that the beta isnt a downer for me and hope the fix the problems they had before

Yeah I kinda hope they allow us to use the old classes as really powerful stand alone jobs.
I think it's goofy kind of how jobs are set up but oh well.

I think in certain games the "advancement" of classes can work out well, as it has for FF Tactics and whatnot, but in an MMO environment, it can be somewhat alienating and take away from the uniqueness and diversity therein if everyone ends up following a similar path as one another. I think what would be neat is to have rather than 20 classes split by style like in XI, have only a handful of well developed classes that branch into various playstyles and utility so everyone can find a way to make it work comfortably for themselves.

WoW did this well in the past, but threw it out the window as of late.
