Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Okay, so I'm gonna make myself an FF playlist for my phone while I'm gone in Chicago. Need to make myself a mandatory track listing from FF4-10; suggestions?
Would anyone be against me being a Mod again? Thinking about asking for reinstatement. I found myself with a lot more free-time now >.<
Yay company cut-backs -_- Artemicion said: » Okay, so I'm gonna make myself an FF playlist for my phone while I'm gone in Chicago. Gagazet get all 3 Black Mages Albums~
I'm sure Aly and Aelius could use the help, but you'll have to take it up with them. Would I be against it? Nope. You did your job without bias, and that's all that can be asked of you.

Gagazet Hmmmm, now the question is should I mash it all together in chronological order or split them between field and battle types? and definitively, any version of this:
and if you can rip video to mp3 from youtube, THIS: You must get all from FFIV - Echoes of Betrayal, Strife, Light of Redepmtion.
Here's a sample of their amazing work. For now I'm going to compile the most familiar and memorable original tracks from each game, and putting the orchestrated and piano arrangements on the side. I'll post my list when I'm done and I'll have you give your verdict of approval.

I think the Black Mages are overstimated. Just because they play Uematsu's songs, and he is in it too, doesn't mean they're as good. There are a few pieces I really like, but there are also a lot of arrangements that are terrible.
arte you cannot have a FF playlist without this!

There are a few pieces I really like, but there are also a lot of arrangements that are terrible. Some are a little too obscure or overly grandiose for me. There's a thin line between being awesome and whaling incessantly on the guitar to the point of annoyance. But alas, I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to these things, so I tend to strongly prefer original sound versions or orchestrated/piano arrangements with at least some artistic rendition rather than being a carbon copy with real instruments. there are some songs that don't fit their style, and there are some that make me cringe (the ones they try to sing) but otherwise I feel they are rather decent at what they are set to do.
I prefer The Star Onions. I like The Black Mages, but I can't listen to their music over and over like others.
Mr.Goo singing Skies Above is awesome though. Carbuncle.Skulloneix said: » Toons Bismarck.Dreadnot said: » I prefer The Star Onions. Star Onions are a great example of what I mean by artistic rendition. They take a track and make it their own rather than simply making it a +1 with better sound and real instruments. ![]() @:48 I saw their performance in the 1st FFXI Fan Festival... I was blown away <3
bought their CD on the spot and love it, especially Rolanberry Fields and Sanctuary of Zi'Tah Youtube changed their layout.
Again. o.o; never heard of the star onions until now, I am highly impressed.
