Ftfy >_> Not sure I would want this spell Edit: Swedish is actually pretty easy to learn. There was a recent article in the newspaper about English actually originating from Scandinavian languages so it shouldn't be that difficult. Said that it came from Scandinavian settlers in the UK and that then became modern English. Google did that D: it was normal until I added the part about translate then it capped most of the sentence. >.>

Quote: - There are indications that the English most commonly used word, "***", comes from here, he says. The Norwegian linguistics Professor Jan Terje Faarlund at the University of Oslo, says that he can prove that English is actually a Scandinavian language. The theory is based on the fact that English is a development of the language of the Scandinavians who settled in the British Isles for 1500 years ago. "A striking number" Previously there has been the perception that English comes from Old English, which in turn has West Germanic roots. As evidence, he takes up a lot of examples of everyday English words with Scandinavian sound, such as diesel, edge and dream. - It's common to-use loan words. In English, it is almost completely reversed. The everyday words are Nordic and they are remarkably numerous, he says to Aftenposten. He argues further that the sentence structure is strikingly similar to our language, compared with, for example German who put the verb at the end of the sentence. - But why the inhabitants of the British Isles chose the Nordic grammar, we can only speculate, he told the newspaper. Borrows from the Vikings Fredrik Lindström, linguists and television profile, shares to some extent in January Terje Faarlunds idea, but says that it is impossible to conclude that English is a Scandinavian language. - English has received a lot of loan words from the Viking era, a theory, for example, that "***" is derived from the word slouch. Nowadays, on the other hand more loanwords from English into Swedish than vice versa, he said. Norwegian professor's evidence English everyday words that have Nordic roots: For example, bothering, call, motocross, cake, ribbons, die, egg and dream. English meningsuppbyggnader are strikingly similar as the Scandinavian word classes are placed in the same order: Just a theory though Phoenix.Sehachan said: » In Italy they made a movie about a modern version of Othello, made me want to throw up, it was horrible.
