The 3rd party version is better than the official one because the textures in the 3rd party have been upped to about 8x their original size, while the official HD mod only ups it by about 2-4x.

In other words, the 3rd party one has about 4x larger texture resolutions than the official one. If you download the full version set instead of the lite.

I played a bit of Reach online with a friend though last year and ... either I just got better.... or there were a LOT of shitty players out there.

I have a good aim irl, but when I have to snipe in games I always, ALWAYS, miss.

Where is the progression? If you only upgrade once or twice, that's it. You have nothing else to look forward to.

xD It starts out at 2x and goes up to 32x doubling each increment. At 8x, a dragon (along with Deadly Dragons) can pretty much one-shot me with his breath attack (takes about a second) and my armor and elemental resistances are at the highest the game will notice.

It makes fighting them actually fun since you can't just stand there and let him belch all over you and stuff.

Also, keep in mind they said they're making ARR much more accessible to less powerful computers.

I'd use that site if I had that PC. My current PC only runs XI at ~20 FPS with pretty low settings.

I just want to be sure it'll do what I'd like it to and not waste money.

The best part of FPS online is hearing the screams of panic as I drive an assault rifle through the skulls of my enemies in their final moment :@

I prefer to kill from an extreme distance as I drink coffee in the morning. or run around with a sniper rifle and use it like an assault rifle or just no scope people

I rarely play FPS anymore really, there were too many children, and adults that acted like children, to make it worthwhile for enjoyment.

Played casual with friends, when I could.

I only enjoy playing FPS games with friends/family. It's completely unbearable otherwise.

And that's not including the numerous pre-teen whiny little shits playing online too.
