so my proposed PC upgrade is as follows.


Antec 300 Case
Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard
750W Power Supply (might up to 1kw)
Intel Core i7 3770k ivy bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo)
8GB RAM (might up it to 16GB) G.Skill Ripjaws X series

Any thoughts? Ideas? I have the HDDs and optical drives.

and of course the GPU: Nvidia 560 Ti

My bad I misread that lol x3 Just woke up. Sounds good though. Anything Asus is good stuff. i7 all the way. However I would definitely go with 16 gigs.

i've not yet decided if that's the case I really want but it looks nice.

Coming from someone with 12gb, 16 is overkill. I never go over 4 in usage.
Sabertooth line sucks and in reality you never need more than an i5.

Hmmm.... I honestly was looking at price, I'm trying to keep it low on purposes (right now as it stands it's 808 + any shipping) I could PROBABLY get it lower if I dropped to an i5 but I dunno ... I'm mainly going to be using it for XIV and any games I have now (or will get :p) as far as the Motherboard goes... I honestly know jack squat about what's good and what's not so I just picked what it suggested I get with the CPU (I guess it's based off what other people got? I dunno)

Gigabyte UD4? I think that's the best cost to quality MB for that socket.

Gigabyte UD4? I think that's the best cost to quality MB for that socket.


Looking for that one but I can't seem to find any that aren't open box I did see this one but again i'm bad with motherboards :|

Ah xD so then I'm guessing the one I got is good? I was reading the sparse reviews on it that said there was some compatibility since it's all USB 3.0 and some of the older tech doesn't like it... so I MAY try to find one that has 2 or so 2.0 slots.
